Ratings & Reviews for DuroMax 500cc Tri-Fuel Remote Start Home Power Back Up 13000 Starting / 10500 Running Watt Gas, Propane, and Natural Gas Tri fuel Portable Generator

Great features for the price point

It has performed exactly as I anticipated for a generator of this size and configuration. Two other neighbors have the exact same generator and are very pleased with it.

Wonderful product

Easy instructions to setup, great quality product.

Excellent generator!

Excellent generator. Literally runs entire house on natural gas, even the A/C!!! (with a soft start)

New Duromax Onwer

I have yet to use the generator as I just set it up and have not yet had the need to use it. However, it seems well put together and has a slew of features which I am excited to get to use! Thus far, I would recommend this product.

Great Generator

So happy with the purchase of this Generator! Very flexible regarding power sources and does a great job.

Amazing

Works perfectly for my family to stay connected with the power out peace of mind

Love electric Start

Assembly was easy, all tools included. Use propane and started in 4th attempt. Starts on first try every time since. I owned a smaller manual pull years ago and it ran for years! Nice to have electric start.

Not impressed

Purchased in November 2025 . Start on remote won’t work , only turns off with remote then push start stopped working and now recoil shattered . Have replaced battery recalibrated remote . Now sits.

Quality Built Generator

I bought this particular generator after researching many different brands to use as a whole home generator that will easily connect to my natural gas source. This is a quality generator that is extremely well built with great reviews. I haven’t used it yet but I expect to get many years of use due to the quality of components used in making this generator. As a plus it has a 5 year warranty for peace of mind and lets me know they believe and will stand by their product.

it never came

It was shipped to an entirely different city. And I'm having to fight the Lowes card purchase. Even when they can see that it was delivered 140 miles away.

Well packed

Unit showed up on a pallet with 3 straps holding down. Another 4 holding the generator box closed. Everything inside the box was well packaged. Can't wait to use it after my transfer switch panel is completed. Will update when all the lights are on.

Great Generator

We bought this to have in case electricity goes out. My husband is on oxygen and it will run our house so his concentrator will continue to run.

Having some trouble with high Hz.

I am have some issues with generator putting out to high of Hz. or Frequence. My solar Inverter/Charger will not connect due to the Hz being higher than 60Hz it is producing 65.8Hz. I have emailed Duro Max and have not received any explanation yet. Hope to up date Review with good news.

New generator

The unit was well packed and undamaged. Assembly was easy, as the instructions are well written and every tool needed for assembly and maintenance are included. I cranked it on propane for the initial run. I plugged a heavy duty grinder to it and it didn't it didn't even phase it.

Great Quality

I just received my Generator today, assembly was minimal with great instructions. It started right up on propane, I haven’t tested gasoline yet. Seems to be a well built generator. I bought it for home backup so it may be a while before it is really put to the test.

Great Generator

Like that it has 3 fuel options and is easy to use.

It's fantastic

I bought it set it up and the only problems that I had is they put the oil drain nut in extremely tight. In fact, I broke a socket, trying to get it out, but I finally got it without stripping the head. And when it runs, it is fairly noisy. But I think that's just a problem with portable generators in general as far as performance it starts great power is my RV totally without an effort, including microwave washer dryer everything I feel like I'm more prepared now for inclement weather in the mo...

Great Features, Great Price

I bought this unit (DuraStar DS13000MXT) primarily for emergency home power backup. Living in south central Texas where summer hurricanes and winter ice storms means year-round risks for power outages. I wanted a unit large enough to power virtually all our electrical components, including the central HVAC system. I feel confident this unit, and the DuraMax/ DuraStar company behind it, will deliver.
