Very nice simulated fire; good value
I put the Dimplex DFI2310 log set in my living room fireplace, which has a chimney but can't take a real fire due to venting problems. The fireplace mouth is 36,"" and for a while I mistakenly thought that I needed a 36"" insert. I didn't. These 23"" logs fit nicely inside and they look terrific. With the mesh screen in front of the fireplace, the fire looks amazingly realistic (for this price range, at least). It's been 90 degrees daily for the last month, and I still put the fireplace on in the evening. I can't say how impressed I have been with this purchase. Haven't used the heater portion however we use the flame and we just love it! At night or when it's dreary out we use it. The ambience is wonderful! No more fear of gas logs and starting them.
