Heavy duty circular saw

I got this over a month ago and it is a heavier circular saw, but it's nice because I feel like that helps me keep the cut straighter! Takes a little to get used to (I am a female, so it's a bit heavier for me). But I love it!

Loved the first one so much I bought a second

I still have that one and use it often but like the upgrade to the aluminum shoe. This saw is very lightweight but durable, you can use it all day without dreading picking it up one more time. Excellent power, control, all with safety built in

Smooth cutting

Rock Solid Reliability

But they made it smaller and lighter! If you need a circular saw for wood or stone. This is the one you want.

Reliable, well built saw

I'm very happy with my Dewalt circular saw. It really lives up to the Dewalt name and reputation for quality tools.

Awesome saw. Put a Diablo demo blade on, and that thing goes through wood as fast as you can push it

Light in Weight Heavyweight Cutting

Great saw for the price. Fairly lightweight for a circular saw, but cuts with speed and accuracy. Excellent safety brake so the blade does not continue to spin after the cut is finished.

Nice compact saw, but the brake is unreliable

The same would be 5* product if the main competitive feature - active break - would work reliably. Half the time the saw doesn't stop the blade. I could have had just as nice of a saw for hall the price without the active break. Also mine is Made in USA, but the quality is still poor.

Great saw for the price!

The brake is a great feature. No need to worry about cutting the cord.

Good saw for the money

A light weight saw good for siding and paneling. No issues in 3/4" material.

Great Saw for Home DIY

The DEWALT 7-1/4-in Corded Circular Saw with Brake Aluminum Shoe and Soft Case has plenty of power for the do-it-yourselfer. A basic saw with the features you need for light to medium service jobs. If you're building a house, you might want to consider a construction grade saw.

Wow what a difference

Finally decided to retire my old, loud Craftsman. What a difference. Lighter, quieter - I might get to hang out with the cool guys if I carry this around!!
