I was hesitant to spend so much on a tool that won’t be used frequently. I am so glad I did. My skil saw bit the dust, and I'm happy it did. This is lighter, quieter and cuts great.

But it should come with the optional dust port/ which sells separately for $30-$40

Powerful and Reliable

I purchased this for my husband as a Christmas present. We are preparing to undergo a major renovation in our house and preparing to build a new chicken coop. He had another circular saw, but needed one with more power. I chose desalt as it’s highly reliable. My father and father in law are jealous of my husbands newest tool!

Good buy

The brake and blower feature work great! A rip guide bar would make a good accessory. A heavy duty power cord is a surprise . very light weight but not light duty....

Nice saw with Power!

I have 2 old Craftsman saws and just don't have the power to cut thick material. We're making a river table and need a saw that cuts through about 2" of material. This saw has the power needed with the 15 amps, we used the Kreg jig for the track with the Dewalt saw mounted on it. The saw easily cut through the 2" thick by 50" length board with one cut, no binding or slowing of the motor, just a nice smooth cut using the blade that came with the saw. The carrying bag is a nice touch and the wrenc...

I've had the saw for 2 weeks. So far, it cuts great and runs smoothly.

Great saw, but the electric brake is a waste

I love the saw, but feel like I wasted the $20 on the electric brake. this thing takes forever to stop. If I ever need another I'll probably save the $20 and get the cheaper version. I have a cheap porter cable that stops spinning as soon as your finger is off of the trigger. This thing just spins and spins.

Easy to use and a must have

I am have always put off doing things around the house because i did not have the right tools. I finally got this and so far have been having a lot of fun with it. I already completed 2 DIY projects , a Potting Table for the wife and a 4 w x 2 d x 6h storage rack in the couple of weeks i have owned the saw. I have never used a circular saw before, but this has been so easy to use.I have a long list of things i would like to do now :) . However , I am not sure if i really needed the Bag.

Great Saw for a Woman

I am a 63 year old widow who maintains my home. I needed a good circular saw to cut Formica and was light enough that I could handle and feel comfortable with. This saw is amazing! I felt comfortable cutting the Formica and it turned out great. Thank you DeWalt for making a powerful lightweight saw that a woman can use easily.

Circular Saw

Great product for the person who has many small-medium house projects. Area of consideration - DUST - even though side slot pushes dust away from you directly still a lot of dust. Suggest wearing safety equipment and if inside well ventilated area. Knowing this I would buy this product again.
