Used to remove a steering bracket from a 1960s muscle car. Did the job.

I purchased this for my boyfriend as a Christmas present. He pointed out the Craftsman but I realized he owns a lot of Dewalt tools. Glad I bought this one and he is too!

High Power at Low Price

The previous owner of my house spilled a can of lacquor on the garage floor that created a 4 ft diameter stain, that had pieces of tarpaper and carpet fiber embeded in it. The stain was surprisingly thick in parts. I bought this grinder with the diamond concrete cutting blade and cut through the stain like butter. Also polished parts of my garage floor and driveway in preparation for painting. Works great. Like it so much I bought one for a friend.

I thought because of the price it wouldnt be as effective as the higher priced grinder. I am very pleased with this tool and I am glad I didnt spend the extra unnecessary money on a more exspensive grinder.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not much to say about this grinder other than it works well, made in the USA and at a good price. The one touch guard is a great feature. This little guy works well all day and it doesn't lack on power.

Angle grinder

I bought the angle grinder to cut concrete in a tight area. I chose this particular model because it had a smaller profile then other models. Was effective with a diamond blade; use respiratory and eye protection becaus it creates significant dust and particulates.

Keep caught on fire on me, burned my fingers.

I bought my grinder about 6 months ago from a friend, he didn't like, so i bought from him, i should know better. I used probably 3-4 times and the head was so hot, after doing one simple cut. I couldn't touch the head (even to tight the disc) for about 15 min. I tried again and keep shooting sparks out from the head. I do not recommend this tool. IT IS DANGEROUS. For the last 2 years all the Dewalt tools i bought, i took back. Unfortunately I'm stuck with this grinder. Dewalt, in the 90's and ...

Great tool, accessories not so much.

I just purchased and really like the DWE402 angle grinder, but it does not come with a pin spanner wrench. It does come with a long legged 1/4" (or some godless communist metric size) Allen type wrench. The wrench doesn't appear to fit anything on the tool I would need to be messing with. Kinda reeks of Title IX/EEO/AA incompetence forced on American companies these days.

Dewalt = Good

Pretty good grinder. Especially for the price. I’m a big fan of dewalt products anyways. Just wish it came with a bag.

I understand the desire to suppress negative feedback from a marketing standpoint but from the perspective of safety, I think you need to let your consumers know about the faulty switch that will likely lead to injury. Good luck with your lawsuits.

DeWalt needs to recall this grinder.

This is the second one of these grinders that I've owned where the switch has failed with very little use. No matter the position of the switch now, the grinder is stuck on so when to plug it in, it fires right up. Obviously this is a serious safety concern. I noticed another reviewer mentioned a switch issue. Better get on this one DeWalt.
