Would RecommendA good value and worked well grinding the 1/4" steel that I had cut with my torch. Seems like it will handle the smaller metal projects without any problem. Did not come with a Type 1 disc guard for cut-off wheels. I have since ordered through Dewalt. Too bad Lowe's did not carry this accessory. Like the hand tighten (no wrench required) nut locking feature.

Not just another pretty tool!
Would RecommendNo, this grinder is the best! Bought the grinder with a specific use in mind and have already used it on four or five other jobs. I purchased a couple more grinding discs and some 'cutoff' discs and am very pleased with the grinder. The movable shield and the two-position handle are a plus. The power switch is easily operated with one finger. DeWalt (made in the USA) has done themselves proud.

Solid grinder with more than enough power
Would RecommendDewalt products continue to not disappoint. Short of using this on a full-time job it has more than enough power and is a solid piece. The handle is reversible/switchable from side to side by unscrewing it and is a great design feature that is very helpful depending on what you are working on and if you are left or right handed. Grinding, cutting and abrasive wheels are all available for this.

Can not use it
Would Not RecommendWhy? Because it not only does not come with a Type 1 guard for cut-off wheels, but it seems nearly impossible to figure out how to buy the correct type 1 guard. It's not listed here in related products, where it belongs, but not listed in the accessory sect, or the parts section. At least not that I can ascertain, and I was a auto parts man for nearly thirty years.

Good little grinder
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this grinder for about 3 years and it has done everything I asked it to. I absolutely put it to some extreme use (that you really shouldn’t do with a 7amp grinder) and it took it like a champ. It finally died, but I honestly can say that it was not the fault of this grinder. I pushed it hard. Just upgraded to the 4214 with more Amps, but will likely buy another 4011 due to the weight and size.
