Safety Hazard

I been buying dewalt grinders for about 10 years never had problems with the trigger but now u got the lock pin to release the wheel are breaking and and stop your wheel where the wheel fly offs the grinder hit me one time. Then it locks it where the motor starts to here like it's going out. I had 6 of them in the pass year do it to me. Take them back to the store had them replace but then u try to take them again and they say contacts dewalt.

Smoked out

Bought this grinder for a small job to remove 50sq ft of thinset left over from tile removal. Got 5 minutes of use before sparks flew from the motor and the arbor started smoking. I have been using grinders like these for many years to do same job and never had this problem.

This is a very good angle grinder, always have good success with DeWalt tools.

Cuts thru black tar very easy!

Hands down best daily user

I have used this model for the last five years. They last a couple of years if you use them daily and take care of them. It’s the pipe welders choice grinder

7 inch grinder

This grinder did an excellent job with my task. I used it to carefully remove mortar from between bricks. It made fast accurate cuts and had plenty power and cut deeper than smaller grinders. I also scored lines in concrete before using a concrete saw to complete cuts. Excellent tool and a good value.

disappointing

I bought this angle grinder to grind metal, sand, polish, things like that and to cut metal too if the need occurred. reading instructions to use a metal cutting disk it required a different shield, instead of a half shield it needed a full covering shield front and back, BUT it didn't come with one. So all the way back to Lowe;s to buy an accessory, doesn't tell on the box it is missing this of course. The person at tools says they dont have it, they sell the grinding polishing cutting tool ...

Worrked less than 30 minutes!

I purchased this at Lowes on 8/29/16. I opened the package on 8/31/16. After installing a masonry disc I began grinding cement, preparing to install tile on a 100SF patio. Less than 30 minutes into the job the motor started smoking and a flame shot out the vents. My 6 year old Harbor Freight Special lasted almost 2 hours! I will return this to Lowes for a refund and buy a Rigid tool.

This works a hole lot better than last grinder that I owned. Didn't take as long to sharpen blades.

Disappointed

I bought this today primarily as a cut-of tool, only to find in fine print in the manual that it cannot be used with abrasive cut-off wheels. This makes it useless to me and will be returned within the hour. The quality, size and reasonable price are all attractive, but it lacks the multi use capabilities that most 7" grinders have.

Great choice in grinders

This model is compact compared to other 7" grinders. Side handles allow for better control and access to grinding site.

Good Grinder, Cheap Arbor Assy

Tbe grinder itself is good quality, but tbe arbor assy is so cheaply made that I can't use cut-off wheels without sourcing another or make one myself.
