Would RecommendBought this to smooth out concrete floors to lay tile on. Works like a champ! Put a concrete grinder attachment and it smooths out a large area in a short amount of time. It can smooth out 100 square feet of concrete flooring in less than 30 minutes. Very reliable. It has been covered with mud without slowing a bit.

I love this grinder. Performs like a champ. It never stalled at slowed cutting up cement walls. I bought it to cut out a bathroom wall that was ceramic tile on cement filled wall.

Would Not RecommendI purchased this dewalt grinder from Lowes with a extended 2 year warrantee. I cut only mild steel and not every day I'm only a hobbyist. In less than 4 months the grinder burnt completely up. Lowes and Dewalt will not replace it. It is the worst grinder I"ve used and it never cut good. It's ok though, I've just bought my last dewalt purchase and my last purchase from Lowes.

Would RecommendI have several 4 1/2 inch grinders. This is my first experience with a bigger grinder and it is amazing how much better this grinder works. This grinder is one of the best additions that I have added to my shop. Pretty amazing!

Versatile tool.
Would RecommendI have had my DW840 (7", type 2) for about 10 years, I believe. I have used it to cut both metal and stone. Well pleased with the way it has performed. I've never had an issue with it. I would not hesitate to go back to your company when I get my disc sander. Is their a disc that can be used with my grinder for sanding?
