Broke after 18 months

Switch went bad. Have sent in to warranty and they have had it for almost two weeks now and I cannot get any update. ZERO Update - so far I am rating Dewalt support at a negative 5. I have tried emails and just get the same responses with no help. Support ticket -no support. Phone number it hangs up on me.

Disappointing planer cheaply made.

Only had the 735 for about 1-1/2 years and have had nothing but trouble with it. The chain jumped the sprocket and that prevented raising or lowering the planer. Supposedly under a 3 year warranty? Took the hood off to look inside and saw the small pulley without the chain on it. Two small screws hold the sprocket on. The sprocket appears to be fiber while the 4 corners are steel. There is lots of slop in the fiber/nylon sprocket. Very cheaply made planer. Very disappointed in this piece...

I wasn't sure, but I'm hooked

I was on the fence about spending this much on a bench top planer but it's worth every penny! Smooth finishes, easy to use, and built like a tank. I use it for woodworking and my husband uses it for carpentry—now neither of us can imagine working without it. One of the best tools we’ve ever bought.

Nice Planer

Purchased this 735X and it works great. Only complaint is the dust port/hose gets in the way. Quick fix was installing a 90 dust collector fitting.

You all droped the ball on this model

I couldnt wait to get had to settel for the 725 the smaller 3 knife planer. The 735 aintthe 735 doesnt take the cut as the two previous model the two blade one that has the adjustable blades takes bigger cuts and faster only promblem is getting the blades set perfect

Can't handle hardwood

A tough little machine

Easy to set up and start using. The blades milled through hickory and white oak with ease and left a nice smooth finish requiring only a modest amount of sanding.

I should have bought this years ago

I finally upgraded after nearly 1 years using an orange model. My intention was to buy this one and immediately upgrade the cutter head to the shelix style, but this thing cuts so smooth right out of the box, I think I can wait awhile. Best thing I've purchased in a long time.

I read the reviews, and this was one of the best planers available. Lowe's had a competitive price compared to all the other online shopping places. With my Lowe's card the 5% off sealed the deal. The card is one of the best things Lowe's has going for it.
