What Customers Are Saying
The planer is capable of producing smooth, high-quality finishes on various wood types. Customers appreciate its powerful motor, accurate depth adjustments, and effective dust collection. However, some users have reported issues with the feed mechanism, motor failures, and excessive snipe. Durability concerns have also been raised, with components like blades and rollers wearing out prematurely. The dust collection system and lack of an integrated outfeed table have also been noted as drawbacks by some customers.

Too difficult to see if this can do planner-work for making tables from 48(45) x 98(95) mm planks up to for instance 48 x 198mm, by planning the short sides, when sandpaper is good enough for the whole width table. ... Hand-planner does not make good enough planning quality, and planning by pushing down towards the spinner and metal-top, is hard to find on the marked for hobby users or a bit more than that. ... Images lacking, and closer zoom does not tell if this is cm or inches.

Handwheel Moves On It's Own
I'm pretty confident that based on all of the positive reviews I've read in many places about this specific planer, I got a defective one. It initially did a great job on about 50 ft. I don't know how, but while planing only 1/32 and 1/16 inch at a time, the handwheel for the thickness adjustment moves as the board feeds through the planer. You can actually see it rotate...

Would RecommendThis machine works better than advertised. It turned slabs of rough cut firewood into beautiful bread boards is minutes. Only needed a little light sanding and trimming on the table saw. I love it. Jack

Very happy with it.
Would RecommendThis machine works beautifully. I read the negative reviews before buying but I also considered how few these are and how many positive reviews there are. I also asked a fellow who has one and he is very happy with it. So I bought it and I have used it with hard and soft woods and it gives me excellent results. The only snipe is because of user error due to improper in-feed and especially inadequate out feed measures.
