Not 3/8" shank.
Their website specs list this bit as a 3/8" shank, but it is only reduced to 1/2". Make sure you have a drill that accommodates this size. Returning it to the store as I don't have a drill big enough.

Would Not RecommendMy wife stopped by Lowe's and I asked her to pick up this drill bit. I needed a 9/16" with a 3/8" shank I found it on the Lowe's website and I told her where to find it in the store. She told me two employees helped her find it. When she brought it home it was obvious that this bit was NOT 3/8" shank. This is wrong in the description. So I wasted her time, my time and a couple employees time because this has the wrong information on the listing.

Would Not RecommendI went to the nearest Lowes after checking on line that it was in stock. Got there, and it was sold out. Went to the next nearest Lowes where it said online that there were 7 in stock. Got there, and indeed there were 7 of them hanging on the wall. The problem is that IT DOES NOT have a 3/8th" shank as described on the web site. It has a 1/2" shank, so won't fit a lot of drills that people are buying. LOWES needs to fix the description, or people might buy something that won't work for the...
