Would RecommendIt drilled an accurately-sized hole. I needed it to install a peep hole and the largest bit I had was 1/2" I bought this and it worked for the one job for which I needed it. I'd say that was a success. Now...I just have to find a case to store it. It's so big it won't fit into my other drill bit cases. First-world problems...I know. :-)
