Stay with what works
Would RecommendI replaced my last one with the same model. My last one has been used for ten years or so. Along with many smaller projects I just finished building our own house with it. Excellent saw!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] DId not come with a blade changing tool to remove the bolt and the bolt is a strange size. I have to use an adjustable wrench to remove the bolt to remove the blade, This is totally unacceptable for a tool that cost this much, FIrst dewalt tool that I have been disappointed in. And that is not good.

About 30 light cuts, owned less than a year, dead.
Would Not RecommendHobbyist / weekend user here, replaced my Ryobi gear with Dewalt! That was going to be pricey, glad I've only done it in stages... I've got less than 40 (probably closer to 30) cuts in with this saw, only just purchased in September of 2023, and it stopped running. I've not cut anything harder than a new 2x4. Clicks, LED comes on, then everything turns back off. Dewalt's better than Ryobi, right? It cut great when it ran. When it runs, its powerful.

Saw quit running with minimal hours used
Would Not RecommendMotor wouldn’t start. Saw had minimal hours on it. Battery was fine. I think the brushless motor controller died. Very disappointed.

This is my second one I have purchased and the same thing happened. Made it through about 5 2by4s and it's dead. The batteries are still fully charged. It won't spin. Same as my last one. It starts out great but at this point it's wasting so much of my time it's not worth it. I do not recommend

Highly recommend!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from the Dewalt max 6 1/2 circular saw to this bad boy a couple of months ago. I have never been happier. I used this recently to cut 3/4 in osb, it went through each panel like butter. It is honestly an awesome saw. You can really tell Dewalt listens to there customers!

Everything I wanted
Would RecommendI bought this saw a few years back and can honestly say it has held up very well. It still has the power it had while it was new and has been put through the paces on many jobsites.
Why such a crappy safety!!
Overall the saw has good power and battery life. It has cut everything I have asked if it was a professional carpenter, but What I don't understand is why they chose to put a safety switch on it that forces you to move you entire grip to activate the saw. The safety they put on the 6 1/2 inch saw is easy to quickly access and start cutting. I HATE THE SAFETY ON THIS ONE! I love most of the DeWalt tools I use, I have 30 of them keeping the same battery for a cordless saw was a priority, but if I ...
