Small project, small cut, solid saw.

I have had this miter saw for about 6 months now and I find that my large, heavy, corded miter saw rarely comes out anymore. Awesome saw

Not cumbersome like a 10”. Slide makes all the difference. While it is a little restricted because of size, carry it with me as I am running baseboard to make small adjustments when needed.

Great little saw

Just what I wanted. A lightweight saw that seems to be precise and has the power needed for trim. I won't plan to use if for framing...I have a 12" miter saw and a skil saw for those jobs. Nice build quality and seems plenty rugged. Bought a couple of additional batteries so I'll never be short on juiice.

Great for the size

This is the perfect saw for small to mid-size projects. I’m often helping family and friends with projects and have found the compact size and minimal weight of this saw a huge plus. The portability cannot be over stated. I have a 12” craftsman slider as well for larger stuff but it rarely gets used now. Lighter saw

I bought this saw as a replacement for a 12” compound sliding miter saw. I bought this saw because I wanted a lighter saw for the work I do now. It’s capable of cutting what I need. Really like this saw looked at it for months and finally pulled the trigger and bought it. Shouldn’t have waited so long

Fantastic

This saw works really well. It is easy to move around to where you need it. It has good power and the battery last a very reasonable time. Use at least the 5AH batteries and you'll get lots of work done. I definitely recommend this saw.

Worth every penny

This saw does big work in a small package. I’ve been borrowing my dad’s for a while and recently decided to get my own. When I first borrowed it I questioned how long it would last on a single charge. I use a 5ah battery with it and it’ll last close to or well over 8 hours of work. It all depends on how much cutting I do of course. Most of my cuts are pressure treated 2x4 wood, and there’s no hold up once the blade is sharp. Does not disappoint

As expected, this saw did not disappoint. Used the 5 cut method to check for square, .002” per cut, .010” total, right out of the box. Haven’t had a chance to use it for a project yet, but I’m sure it will do fine.

Great little saw with plenty of power and light weight is a plus.

Awsome but competition as destroyed them

When it came out it was amazing. Like normal Dewalt leads the market into something and sits on it. All the competition has came out with more power and dual bevel and work better now. Yes it is not as cheep but you could at least come out with a second model that stays up with them or ahead of them. If you want to be the best you have to stay ahead.

Excellent lightweight saw

I picked this up for ease of use plus far greater blade options for 7 1/4 vs 10 and 12 inch saws. Like the work light. Set up is a lot faster and much easier on this old man's back than getting my 10 and 12 inch Deltas off the shelf. Battery life is more than adequate for my DIY use.

Check your box

Love the saw. BUT when I opened it up I found the saw had to be a return. Saw dust and evidence that the saw had been used. No I didn’t take it back as it wasn’t worth the time.

I replaced an aging Ryobi 18 volt from about 10 years ago. Not much choice back then. I love Dewalt tools. This saw is perfect for my home projects in building raised garden beds and general woodwork around the house.

Excellent saw and value

I have many tools and have had many miter saws over the years. I bouth this one to supplement my 12" sliding in times I need to transport. Has worked wonderfully. It's much lighter and made many cuts in first use without any visible battery meter usage.
