Nice but not ideal
Would RecommendThese planers should come w a proper zero - and even a negative setting for safety reasons - such that one can do the finest of cuts. Adjusting the blade plate is possible but getting a real zero is actually not. The blade then fails to sit properly in its slot and provide enough edge. Out of the box the cut is deep enough that it forces the tool to track when cutting a face. Otherwise it’s got enough power and is convenient without the cord.

Great service
I haven't had much time to use the plane, but it leaves a glassy smooth surface. I had to return the first one I received because it was defective. Customer service was great and easy to work with. I got the return label shipped it off and in about a week had my new plane. I will do business with Grizzly again.

Would RecommendOverall great tool. DeWalt is stupid expensive. A combo tool with the new higher amp batteries is ridiculously priced. However if you don’t have the higher amp batteries, this thing will eat up the normal 20v battery that Dewalt originally used.

Amazing planer
I have only had this planer for a few weeks and I can say it works like a charm. I have used it on walnut and hard maple and the cuts are precise and glass smooth. I would highly recommend this to anyone in need of a hand planer.

I threw out my hand tool after buying this!
Would RecommendI did not throw out my planer... but could. I recently put up multiple decks. The most recent one I decided to by this planer to cut down in time leveling out the joists before putting the decking on. What normally would be a day of sweat, cursing, and exhaustion with a 6 foot level turned into 2 hrs max on a 16 ft by 18 ft platform.
