Would Not RecommendCould not align this thing to save my life, and the included blade guide is worthless. Front and rear shoes were not even square with each other. Drum must be crooked too since it shaves deeper on one side than the other, and even gouges with the dial set to zero. I expected better from Dewalt and I am returning this.

Blade calibration?
Takes off quite a bit of material even at the zero setting. No instructions on how to calibrate the depth setting, or if it can be done at all. Thank goodness I tried it on a scrap first! At the moment the planer is useless for anything but rough work.
