Dewalt Cordless Planer

Works as advertised. Doesn't remove wood as fast as my corded planer but I bought this for working on job sites without power. After all who wants to start up a generator just to to run a planer? The planer comes with a couple of spare baldes stored in the tool which is nice. If you always have power available a corded planer is a better option but for me this is a good option.

Well worth the price, long battery life, does a great job on small projectes.

Portable Planer

I used this for fitting a 3 foot hinged door to a frame I built in my greenhouse. Although the 2X4's were new, they weren't straight after I set them at the width I needed. This planer came in handy -- no need for a cord in the middle of a field. The adjustable settings are perfect for taking small or medium strips of wood out. Good build quality.

Easy to handle

This hand held planner is awesome for lite jobs. I am using it to plan out chainsaw marks in my oak slices. Works GREAT.

Very Helpful Tool

Have always been afraid to even try power planer. Took a chance and very glad I did. Had some boards that needed planing on one side. A thickness planer was way over the top for the job but this tool worked out great. As with any power tool common sense is a must.

Great tool

Excellent control

Wonderful tool

I've found the 20V Max Planer to be extremely useful in the build process and have used it for anything from taking off a protruding top plate to trimming the backs of counter tops to fit to our not quite straight walls. I've also used it in home repairs when we have needed as an example to shim out a window and needed something larger than shims can handle and less than 1 by stock...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] excellent tool, works very well. light, strong and comfortable. the only negative point I found was the machine did not have an appropriate box. in fact I miss the boxes, almost all the machines do not come with boxes, only bags, which I do not even use.

Also I'm surprised how nice of a finish is left. It is almost glass like, that said, this tool is battery hungry. I used my 2 amp hour battery at first, I'll killed that battery after doing two 8 ft by 6 in boards both sides though. But after some learning and fine tuning what I was doing I'd get about ...
