Incompetence

I was sold this two different times one week apart only to be told it wasn’t in stock while both times it stated 4 units were in stock. I feel lowes should have made this right and offered me a comparable product at the same price. Unbelievable.

happy with purchase

Use like a regular drill but with hammer capability. Good torque and very reliable. If you dont care about lightweight drill, can be versatile product to use everyday. No regrets and got a great deal too when it was on ckearanxe.

This drill is all about power

I bought this as I had a few projects that required drilling into concrete and I often need to drill 3/4" holes deep into wood, ~5". It's very fast and effortless doing either task. It's not a light weight tool but it is easy to use. It came with two 5 ah batteries and Dewalts' fastest 20 volt Max charger. Dewalt has a more powerful model, the ***998** (I bought the ***996**) which would have been a waste for my needs. I think if you need a more powerful drill than the 996 you probably need...

Awesome product

I’ve had this product for 3 months and have been thoroughly satisfied with how it’s performed so far. Constantly drilling through drywalls and studs has never let me down.

Absolute beast

Man, this thing is a brute! First 20v max tool (been a sworn user of the teal and white) and I'm definitely coming back for more. Here's what stands out to me: super sturdy chuck, love the light settings (this thing is BRIGHT), love that it has three gears instead of two, love the clutch ring solid click, and think it looks incredible. Also, the handle is super easy to adjust and take on/off, and this drill's power practically matches some roto hammers I've used. Always used DeWalt saws, and now...

It does everything I need it to do. I've owned dewalt cordless tools for 15+ years now and the drill is the only thing that needed to be updated so far. Wouldn't buy any other brand. They've always worked when I needed them

Best drill I’ve ever owned.

The motor has tons of torque for working with hard materials and the hammer function (my first) makes jobs like drilling concrete a breeze. The battery is always ready to go, even when I haven’t used the tool in a few weeks. I’ve owned many drills and the XR hammer drill has been the best one by far.

Amazing Drill!

This thing did not disappoint and was worth every cent. It powered though several holes I drilled into my concrete patio for anchor patios. Highly recommend.

Not what I expected from DeWalt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This drill was given to me as a gift from the company. It's worked okay for a couple of years. Went to use it today and now it won't switch from forward to reverse. Tried to pop the case to realign the switch and there a screw broke off. 17 years plumbing and I've always used DeWalt. My old combo kit, the 18v, withstood more than this new stuff does. Come on DeWalt

Very Powerfull piece of equipment

I purchased this hammer drill kit over a year now and charged both batteries. So far l have only used one battery and the other was stored in the hard black plastic case. We to check on the battery and it was still fully charged bever dropped a volt stored over a year. Now back to the hammer drill. This drill has so much power that is can out do an electric hammer drill with brushes. It just wont quite working on the job you put it on. I will buy this item again when l need a replacement.
