18 to 20v adapter

Allows me to keep using drills I owned already without having to purchase newer drills. Caught them on sale fo $99.

Needed to replace one of my 18volt batteries. I like this idea of using the 20 volt lithium ion batteries. So far so good. No complaints so far.

Not as shown on website

This was pictured on the website as a Max XR battery. It is not an XR battery! For some reason only known to the Dewalt company, they chose to give the same model number to both the non-XR and XR batteries. Very confusing and unfortunate.

Brought my 18v tools back to life!

I`ve had most of the DeWalt 18 volt tools for quite a few years and went through many batteries! These 20 volt batteries hold their charge way longer than the 18v and are even lighter!

A Good Gift

This was a gift, but the person I gave it to was very happy with it...said it was exactly what he wanted!

I saw these on Lowes site and asked my wife to puchase this as a Christmas gift for me. When opening this up this morning I noticed the kit comes with the standard Lithium battery and NOT THE XR as pictured in the ad. The XR batteries are far superior in the amount of reserve power that is available, the standard Lithium are not as good and usually much cheaper then the XR's. I don't know if this is a shortcoming on Dewalt's part and a product change or Lowe's for perhaps not using the c...

Revitalizar for 18v Tools!

I have had this since June 2018 (now Dec. 2020) and it has saved me from having to buy a completely new set of tools at once. Instead, I can just transition one tool at a time and still use the 20v batteries. I’ve added another to my wish list because I think this adapter is so helpful.

18vdc adaptor for dewalt drill

This adaptor works great and utilizes the new technology of lithium ion battery. I can keep my drill and existing batteries and charger and have backups as well.

Better than original

I bought two 20volt batteries, a charger and an adaptor for my 18volt tools for less than two 18volt batteries. AWESOME! And they let longer.

Tool Saver!

These work perfectly! I have older Dewalt 18v tools and didn't want to buy new ones to accommodate the new tools I purchased. This was the perfect solution. Fast shipping and charge very fast.

works well but hard to remove

The adapter works in older tools BUT will not work in 2 older drills that I have. In the fine print it lists the two drills. ALSO It is difficult to remove from some devices. Still glad I bought it.

Work great but hard to attach and release

I found the battery itself to be perfect for all my DIY projects. The conversation attachment took away a good bit of weight from 18v to 20v making the tools much easier to use. I did have an issue with 20v conversation attachment being difficult to fit into and release from the my 18v tools. Overall, it’s a great product and I would recommend the upgrade.

Great Deal

My 18 volt tools are still good but the batteries are getting bad so this conversion allows me to use the new 20 volt batteries which are lighter and hold a charge better than the Nicad batteries. It’s a great deal having the charger and two batteries also. All my tools are Dewalt and they’ve been very reliable for years of use!
