The straight run is much easier to install than the stair rail. Directions are not very clear . You have to cut it exactly right to size, so lots of pre-fitting and it's fussy. I'm glad we are done and I'm happy with it, it's very nice and sturdy it was just a booger to install.

Would RecommendThese rails are well made. They look really good when installed. As others have said, toss the instructions-they're useless. Go SLOW. I started with a post, installed the top and bottom rails with a block of wood to set up my angle at the bottom. I predrilled every hole. The self-tapping screws are not strong. Any torque over a 10 on my DeWalt drill would rip the heads off. I adjusted the posts to where the railings landed. It looks perfect, but it does take time. Again- Pre-drill, don't over to...
