Not a bad product

The biggest problem I have, is I had to purchase multiple times to get just two of them the same. They all had same item#, and part#. This is a major inconvenience. However it is a good product.

I bought one of these from Lowe's, and another from another vendor to compare their light output at night. This one turned out to be about 2 to 3 times brighter than the competitor. So we purchased 8 more to go on our deck railing posts. Although it does put out a considerable amount of light, it is not too bright or glaring. Nice Product!

Very nice product. The solar lights fit a 5x5 inch fence post perfectly and with a good full (sunny) day's charge, they light up well. Very pleased!

Plastic Solar Post Cap Light 5 x 5

My brother told me these would be nice lights for my white fence, so I went to my local Lowe's to purchase and found out I purchased the wrong size so I had to return them and order the correct size online because they didn't carry it. I ordered 4 for the front corners of my fence and 3 of the 4 worked, one light was defective would not stay on, flickered on and off and remained off at night. Easy install and appears to work well

I receive the light late yesterday an installed it this morning. It took about 15 minutes and does fit a 5" X 5" post like a glove. It is a tight fit and required no attachment screws. I'm now waiting for the batteries to charge. It's not a real sunny day so it might take a day or two to tell the complete story. I'll let you know if I have problems with the function of the light itself. For now I am pleased with the light and would recommend it to others.

Returned

I should have noticed that it was returned once already. There was no paperwork, and the identification number was written on the plastic container. Upon checkout I was overcharged $15.00. I did get a refund of $36.00 when I returned it, but I didn't notice that error until I got home. The light itself was poor fitting on a standard 4x4" treated post. I had to use shims with even the smallest holder. The light lit sporadically, never seemed to fully charge although my other solar lights in that ...

Buyer Beware

Purchased 7 of these units. 2 of the units will not work. Either they don't hold a charge or the solar unit is defective\. Went into a Lowes store and tried new rechargeable batteries and that did not help. Quality is not good at all.

Solar Fence Post Caps

I love the looks of them. They look very pretty. When they light up at night the look wonderful. I'm just very disappointed that they don't seem to stay lit for a very long period of time. Maybe that is because it is winter and here in the Pacific Northwest we don't have a lot of strong sunshine during the winter months. I like them, just wish they'd stay lighted up longer. If it's been an extremely overcast day they don't light up at all.

Manufacturing or shipping problem?

Product is actual beautify on my white fence, problem is I have ordered 6 to get 3 good ones. The tops are broken from the base when they are shipped to my house. They have been package in a lot of bubble wrap so they must be coming out of the factory that way. Fortunately Lowes has returned them no problem.

These lights are easy to install, the batery install is easy too. However I wish they came wi a plastic piece to block one side so i could get more light to shine on my deck. over all love them! very stylish goes great with fence. have haf=d nothing but great compliments on how everyone love they way they look!!!!!

Didn't work

First these are made for the premade posts that measure a perfect 4x4. But the instructions and the help in the store talk avidly about being able to use them on the wooden deck posts that sell as 4x4's. they don't fit the extra piece in the kit doesn't help. I went back to the store for ideas.. The best they could offer was a lot of caulk.. Only 2 out of the 5 had light after a week of daylight.. I returned them.

Solar post light 5"x5"

I do like the lights. They do not put out as much light as I was expecting. They add ambience but can not be used for lighting a pathway.

Worked ok for 1 year, no longer lights up at all!!

Purchased this just a little over a year ago around late Spring 2011. Worked OK, not super bright but lit up gate. Stopped working around February 2012, figured it was batteries. Replaced with fully charged rechargeable batteries at dusk the beginning of Summer 2012. Light still does not work. Didn't save the receipt or UPC so can't send in warranty claim. Unrepairable beyond replacing batteries. Save your receipt and the box so you can file during warranty period.
