I should have stopped and gotten different fasteners when these were stripping upon installation. Haste makes waste. Would RecommendInstructions claimed no pilot holes necessary, but I found drilling pilot holes to be much better. I was using 2” boards— possibly not needed with thinner decking. Otherwise, liked the finished look very much.
Stay Away From These Screws
Would Not RecommendThese screws are total junk. They strip way too easy. Even pre-drilling did not help. If your deck material is Trex, do yourself a favor and buy TrapEase 3. Yea they are about double the price but you get what you pay for.
