I would say that this device will work in limited applications and approximately a quarter of the price of a Studor, but spend the extra money and get a higher quality product that will perform as advertised

This product sucks. That is what it is suppose to do so it's good

Air where needed

Allowed me to vent a utility sink without costly vent pipe installation. MUCH cheaper that some of the others but works just as well.

didn't work

Installed basement pump box. Used this vent on it. Air would not vent through it so the sink would backup until the pump turned out and emptied the box. Headed back to store to get the Studor 25$ one.

waste of time and money

I should have paid attention to the other rating that said it didn't work. I just purchased, and installed, the vent under my kitchen sink. IT ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT WORK! Do not waste your time and money. Personally, I think it is a scam with lowe's to make you buy the 25.00 plus air vent.

Didn't work

Had all the plumbing done and put on the air cap. As soon as my wife used the washer and water went flying everywhere so I returned it.

Worked like it was supposed to.

Installed this under my bathroom sink. Both my bath tub and sink are on the same drain. Stopped both from gurgling and I haven's smelled anything yet. Easy to install.

Stopped the smell

Had an older version of this in my plumbing system. I guess the seal leaked, it smelled pretty bad on high temp days. Put on this one and it stopped the smelly from the sewage.

Rubber diaphragm does not last more than a couple of years

Air Admittance Vent worked great.

I replaced a two basin sink with a single basin sink. The single basin sink would drain slowly. I installed the Air Admittance Vent and the sink now drains much faster. The cost of the Air Admittance Vent along with a few fittings that I needed to attach it cost me around $12.00. If your sink is draining slowly and you're sure that the drain is not clogged, give the Air Admittance Vent a try. Of course you should check with your local building codes before doing so.

Simply works

Bought this to replace plumber installed one on a house. So, what this means is that the one from Lowes did not fit because it is for a trailer or something. I did not want to pay the price for the right size one. Especially thinking that they all will fail regardless of what they cost because they are all basically the same mechanism. So it was worth making an adapter for the smaller one. This adapter can be unscrewed and the larger threaded ones can also be used if I happen to get one at a yar...

Air admittance vent

The only problem I had with this valve was that the threads were external, where the location I planned to use it called for internal threads. Space was limited, so, even when I found an adapter, it was necessary to cut existing plumbing and glue in. It was a little more work than I had hoped to do, but once accomplished the valve works well.

This product stinks... literally

Does not stop sewer gases. It's going back to the store. I'll replace with a more expensive one. You get what you pay for.

Works great

I asked our plumber and was told to go with this over the vent valves that cost $20 more. Was also told the same in stores. It does the job, and that's really what counts.
