Cheaply made ( if you know what avent and how it works when you have a draining issue with a gurgling water it’s starving for air taking water out of the trap( the vent opens and supplies the air that follows the flow of water ( this unit would not open!!!( don’t work !!

Would RecommendWhile remodeling my 110 year old Craftsman kitchen I discovered the sink vent pipe had just been terminated in the soffit above the sink. I extended the pipe into the attic and terminated it with this valve until summer comes when I can extend the vent pipe through the roof. Note building code does not allow admittance valves where I live, so this is just a temporary fix for me, but the valve works great.
