It’s contact cement.

Well, if you’re not an idiot, this stuff works great. Put it on 2 different surfaces, wait a bit, then stick ‘em together and your done! Make sure both surfaces are lined up properly ‘cause it don’t come apart easily!

Worked Great for veneering an old table

The DAP Weldwood Gel Formula contact cement worked great for applying a veneer to an old antique table. Would recommend for this type application. A note this is flammable and would suggest using this out doors. Simple to use.

Great contact adhesive.

If used as directed, this stuff bonds well to most anything. It about the only thing that will bond plastic sheets together like coroplast for the bottom repair of my RV. It is important to follow the directions!

EXPENSIVE ADHESIVE, POOR PERFORMANCE

Required several coats to make laminate bond to painted wood. Annoying. Cannot be used without a breathing mask. Very toxic fumes.

Was amazed at how this product performed!

I am a woodworker would does a lot of veneering with burl veneers. I quit using contact cement over 20 years ago as it always caused the burl to curl once the contact cement was applied. I have relied on a veneer press. This product changes that! I am doing a piece of furniture that will not fit into my press. No curling, dries in 20 minutes! The adhesive is amazing. Requires little work with a veneer roller Great product!

Excellent product. Worked well on office reception area laminated desk end cap. Installed end cap no mess and instant grip could not have been easier.

Fast drying

Much easier to use than the solvent type and dries faster.

what can I say?

It just works. Second to none, best brand I have ever used. Read and follow instructions. If doing a large piece YouTube it first for some hints because once it touches it is done.

Not as good as the original product, honestly.

To me, this no drip gel formula does not apply to surfaces or Formica as well as the original formula, as it tends to clump together when spread. The original formula is better and happens to be cheaper, so I will be going back to it. I rated this as 2 stars because it doesn’t seem to bond quite as well either.

Thick, did not drip, low odor

Used this to add laminate to pressboard: was low odor compared to other brands, spread nicely with a brush and roller and did not drip. Would use again.

Better than old thinner Weldwood Contact Cement

Using the old more liquid version of this cement, I used to have problems on vertical surfaces with drips and runs. No more. Seems to work as well or better on horizontal surfaces.

Easy to use

Worked exactly as it should. Easy to spread and easy to use for laminate on a cabinet top. Use in a well ventilated environment.

Not for styrofoam

Wanted glue felt material on Styrofoam board to create a backboard for my dartboard. This adhesive is NOT for Styrofoam boards, (the kind used for packaging for shipping large items.) It will dissolve the foam immediately upon contact. Looks like the acid from creature in the Alien movie that ate right through the hull of the space ship. LOL Just FYI: a better adhesive is Elmers heavy duty white glue sold in Joanns Fabrics store.

I always shop at Lowes. I like the store and the people that work there. The employees are more friends than workers. It takes me a lot longer to get out of the site than it should between talking to workers and looking around the store. I am always told that I should work there by people in the store. My wife says it is my second home.

The best

This is a much better product then the Weldwood liguid product. It stays mixed in the can. Is easy to spread. Has a long shelf life.
