Weekwacker Review

I purchased a string weedwacker last year and have used it extensively. It has really proven to be a wise decision. It has been great in really thick under brush. I be do like just how easy it is to wind on new string. The battery holds up well and I can pretty much finish up my lawn before it runs down. I am very pleased

Do Not Purchase. Nothing but problems.

Purchased at Lowes in the beginning of season, sometime in May. Worked great the first two times, After that the sting advance became sporadic. I had to advance it by hand. Then the spool cap became loose. I went to Lowes spoke with an associate who said there have been complaints but Craftsman came out with a new cap and spool to fix the problem. I purchased the new spool cap and spring ($6.99) and the new three pack of spool ( 24.99). I went home and the three pack of spool does not fit on th...

spool assembly

The trimmer works very well. However, the spool housing (assembly) is wearing and will have to be replaced in the near future. I have searched 'service net' and cannot locate the part.

Broke on SECOND USE

The second use the mechanism in the head that clicks to feed the spool broke. Now as soon as you turn it on it spits the whole spool out. It is completely useless aster only two uses.

Replacement Spool

According to the operating manual (if you threw it out its on this website) you just buy any .080 replacement wire, slip it the hole until it's even (20ft max at a time), and turn the housing clockwise so you here it clicking. Pretty simple and took 2 minutes.

Where can replacement spools be found?!

Worked great for my small yard. Spool ran out and now I can’t find replacements. Very frustrating to use this product for the life of one spool of string and now I’m just stuck with a weed eater that I can’t use. I bought craftsman because Of the reputation- so this is more than disappointing. I do not recommend this model.

The line tends to get tangled from the factory i pulled the string out and re wound it it seems to be feeding better

I love this product! Easy to use and much sturdier than there previous product! I would have liked it to have prewrapped string but i learned how to wind the string and its fairly easy!
