Would RecommendReplaced the stock blade (stock blade gummed up on EVERY cut), bought and added a dust chute for attaching to a shopvac (sort of advertised as coming with one but didn't), and have been using with a 5amp battery. Honestly great saw especially for the price (got on sale at $100) but needs all that "additional" gear to be truly useful. Not so great "out of the box". Went with Diablo for blades. Still definitely recommend! 3.5 stars
Too weak for PT lumber, not sold as advertised

Wondering if replacing the blade it came with will help. - Despite the pictures featured here with the dust chute, it doesn't come with one. Separate purchase. Would Not RecommendI managed to crosscut a piece of 3/4 MDF, and the saw just shut off on my next cut. Even testing the saw without cutting the blade just stutters. Sometimes it works for a few inches. I’ve tried 3 batteries 4 blades and a prayer but nah

Would Not RecommendI ordered this CMCS551b (RP series) saw because photos show the base to be a ~3mm solid aluminum flat plate. I ordered it to fit on a Milescraft track saw assembly. What I received is a cast base that is much thicker and has x brace sections cast into it. The front and rear base angle adjustment support is also cast into the base. NOT WHAT I WANTED !. . . The first several photos on the Craftsman show the flat base and at the end of photos lineup show 2 photos with the cast base. I AM VERY DISAP...

Not worth it
Would Not Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this saw because of the craftsman reputation and what the other V20 power tools and they are all good. But this saw can’t cut a 2x4 without stopping several times! It doesn’t have enough power to cut the wood and they (craftsman) show you a guy cutting a 1x3 piece of wood without much problems. It’s not worth the price I went back to the corded saw with more cutting power to cut my pieces of wood.

Great Saw, cuts like butter
Would RecommendBought this saw when replacing 2 x 6 boards on a pergola. It was great and saws through the board like butter. 2 ah battery didn't last but a few cuts, 4 ah battery did better, but now I need to buy the 6 ah battery. Really pleased with how this saw works. I love all my Craftsman battery tools.
