What Customers Are Saying
The product received mixed reviews. Many found it effective for cutting small to medium-sized branches, praising its lightweight design and extended reach. However, a significant number reported issues with the blade's quality and durability, including it becoming dull, bending, or breaking easily, even with light use. Some also noted concerns about the overall construction, such as loose screws and weak components. The consensus suggests this is a suitable, affordable option for occasional, light-duty use, but may not be durable enough for more demanding tasks.

Would RecommendThe saw has a healthy bite and limbs are trimmed easily. As the limbs I attacked grew larger, I did have to be careful not to buckle the blade. Length adjustments are simple and the large locking nut/ring is helpful for tightening and loosening with my arthritec hands.

Has its use
Would RecommendI own several pole saws but wanted a lightweight saw for removing sucker limbs off main trunks, this saw is perfect for that use. It’s not intended for use as a primary pole saw, just a tool that’s lighter for a purpose.
used saw
Would RecommendI bought the saw and returned it for credit as I tried using and it was very dull, Further observation showed scratches on the expandable handle, so someone apparently someone bought for a purpose and returned. Not Lowe's fault and the return lady was very friendly and helpful.

Blade not sharp
Would Not RecommendDull blade. Not as sharp as my old hand saws. Plan on finding a sharper replacement blade.
Defective out of the package - flimsy blade
Would Not RecommendThis cut fine, I cut through 4 or 5 branches despite the blade being a little flimsy. Then I went to extend it and pole does not extend. When I loosen the tightener the pole goes loose, however you cannot extend it, it only turns. Have to now make a second trip to return it. Will not be buying a replacement.
Nice pole but lock nut needs some attention
Would RecommendI bought this pole saw at my local Lowe's because it was on sale at a very good price. They also had a replacement blade for $1.00, so I decided to go ahead and buy the blade as well. That was a good decision because, as other reviewers have mentioned, the blade that comes with the pole is pretty flimsy. It is also small and narrow toothed, so it does take a long time to cut even a small limb. I switched the original blade with the replacement blade that I purchased. It has better cutting t...
Defective, will not extend.
Would Not RecommendBought this to trim a few branches that are out of my reach and when I got it home and loosened the coupling to extend the pole it would not move at all. No amount of pulling, twisting or banging the heck out of it with a hammer would make it extend. Branches are still out of reach and now I have a 20 mile round trip to return this piece of junk. The only conclusion I can come to is that the factory glued the inner pole in place. Should have known better than to buy anything with the brand name ...
Better than usng a ladder...and safer.
Would RecommendI've never used a saw like this, so the first time was disappointing. After cutting my first 3 inch branch, I learned this saw does NOT cut in the forward stroke, which I was putting my prime effort on. After examining the blade carefully, I realized it's the PULLING stroke that does the actual cutting. After realizing the error of my ways, cutting was significantly more effective. I don't remember if cutting instructions came with it, but then, how complicated can using a saw be?

Terrible blade - worn out after less than 2 hours
Pole is fine. Extends easily and locks well. But I have used the saw for maybe all of 2 hours and the blade, never cutting well when new, is now just about worthless. It is by Corona but the saw blade is nowhere near as good as the other Corona hand saws I have used - the 14" and 18" ones. As example, I had used it for well under an hour on small Oak twigs and branches, then attempted a 3" branch. It took over 400 cuts to make it through, which I am sure I could have done in 100 cuts with a re...

Cheap and easy to use
Only really suitable for smaller branches but works well at those. I took down a few branches from a shade oak that were about 3 to 4 inches in diameter.

Extendable Pruning saw
Would RecommendNeeded a way to trim dead palm fronds from the trees in the yard. This serves the purpose. No fault of the product, but saw teeth tend to get caught in the material being cut and when extended it’s a bit wobbly.
