What Customers Are Saying

The product received mixed reviews. Many found it effective for cutting small to medium-sized branches, praising its lightweight design and extended reach. However, a significant number reported issues with the blade's quality and durability, including it becoming dull, bending, or breaking easily, even with light use. Some also noted concerns about the overall construction, such as loose screws and weak components. The consensus suggests this is a suitable, affordable option for occasional, light-duty use, but may not be durable enough for more demanding tasks.

Blade too flexible

Would Not Recommend

There may be an upgrade on the blade. If so buy it. The blade is too thin and flexible compared to other pole saws I have used in the past. It's a pull only saw which is ok but still lacks the strength to cut anything other than small limbs under an inch or two. Otherwise no complaints, pole itself is light and easy to adjust. It's inexpensive for a reason and probably good as it's gets in the price range.

Very Practical pruning Saw

Would Recommend

Easy to assemble! I wished I had pictures to show how nicely the trees trimmed in the front and the range is very good! Plus its a good upper body exercise!

Cutting teeth too small for any limb over 1/2 in.

Would Not Recommend

Cutting teeth too small for any limb over 1/2 in diameter. Had to return it for I could not get enough leverage to cut.

Simple and effective

Would Recommend

I have two other similar pruning saws, along with a gas powered pruning saw. I am not in either the lawn maintenance business nor the tree pruning business but, as a Master Gardener, I do a significant amount of such work as a volunteer. And, I have far too many trees in my one acre yard. Thus saw is simple and does not include the impediment of a lopping attachment that frequently just makes it harder to remove a mid-sized branch. Sometimes simplicity is the best answer.

waste of money

Would Not Recommend

Used this saw on 3 branches less than 1 1/2" each, now, tooth set is gone, hangs up when trying to push it forward or backward, blade bends, I wouldn't even recommend this to a homeowner that does trees once a year

Poor quality, not durable

Would Not Recommend

The blade is flimsy and bends easily, and replacements are not available. The handle lock does not hold well. If the blade gets stuck in a branch, the handle pieces will come apart and you will have to climb up on a ladder to retrieve the top part. The handle is fiberglass and flimsy, bends easily, making it difficult to cut branches when it is extended at full length. The plastic piece holding the blade is not very strong, the screws strip and you have to replace it with a nut and bold. They ar...

Works well

Would Recommend

There is only one thing that I would warn a buyer about this product. Check your hardware on the saw often. We lost several nuts and bolts before we realized that we should have been checking the tightness of them. The blade became flimsy which made us look at it closer. We got less than one days use out of it and it needs to be repaired. Other than that, it works really well.

Can't recommend this

Would Not Recommend

Well, I can say that the pole itself was of good quality, but even tightening the extending lock down hard, the pole would extend further if the saw blade got stuck halfway through a larger branch. It worked well on very small branches, but I only cut two of those. Halfway through a larger branch the blade would stick, it seemed it was a little thin and flexed too easily, binding in the cut. Before I finished the cut, the two nuts and bolts holding the blade in place fell out and into the leaves...

Gets the Job Done!

Would Recommend

I live in Central Florida and we have 4 palm trees in our yard. So the trees require trimming the fronds and the trees are high. This extended tree saw allows you to trim the fronds as they turn yellow/brown without having to get up on a ladder. Easy, sturdy and gets the job done.

Garbage

Would Not Recommend

This thing broke within 10 minutes of using it. They have a cotter pin holding the removable blade with handle and the pin just FELL out. Don't waste your money on this garbage.

Nice Price!

Would Recommend

I've been looking for a long handled pruning saw for my palm trees and this work perfectly. Compared to others the price was very good. Only thing was after some use the blade started flexing more but could have been a bad angle on the cut. After finishing and sawing through several branches the blade was slightly bowed. Don't think it will affect future sawing. Overall happy with purchase, especially the price.

This Pole Saw Rips!

Would Recommend

In the corner of my shop are three old pole saws; I had given up on finding a decent one. Biggest problem is the blades rust and/or get dull and pulling the blade through the kerf becomes difficult to impossible. Not this one---the design of the teeth make this one rip! A few strokes and you are through 4-6-8" limbs no problem. Chain drive on the pulleys for the branch cutter also works well; others have flimsy pulleys driven by clothesline. No pole saw is "perfect", but this one is the closest ...

Corona 12" Extendable 12' Pole Pruning Saw

Would Not Recommend

We were successful in removing a lot of dead limbs from several trees with this pole pruning saw; however, the saw itself is very flimsy and bends easily. Both my husband and I used this pruning saw and were disappointed that it wasn't a stronger saw. Anyone looking for a product like this to prune limbs would probably do better spending a bit more money and getting a higher-quality pole saw.

One drawback

Would Not Recommend

The pruning shears do well. However, the best use for the saw blade is destroying tentworm webs. It has handsaw-style teeth that allow you to double the effort needed cut through limbs. I have a Corona folding saw for pruning, and it uses a far superior type of blade that makes quick work of any pruning job. I wish Corona used that type of blade in their pole saw too. I have a lot of work for the saw, but unless I can find a better blade, I'll have to get a bigger ladder and use my folding saw.

Cheap Feel and Quality

Would Not Recommend

Well, it will cut small branches if you are very careful and keep the saw very steady. The extendable pole came apart and I had to use super glue to fasten the connector to one half. After that, it would extend and tighten fine. However, I guess you get what you pay for. I would look at a slightly higher quality product next time - do not waste your $$ on this one.

does the job

Would Recommend

The main con is blade needs to be more ridged, too flexible. Bends too easily but other than that you just need to keep in mind don't rush it.

I needed this.

Would Recommend

Had several trees on our new lot that needed trimming badly. Needed something that would reach high and allow me to cut small to medium limbs. This product was perfect. Only drawback is that you have to use a little muscle. You can't just push a button.
