Great for camping or in case of emergencies.

We just bought a second one. Great for camping or in case of emergencies. The light on low is good for small rooms and high works well for large outdoor areas. Being able to take the diffuser off gives more options on focusing the light or bouncing the light off of the ceiling, which usually works better for lighting up rooms. I do not know exactly how long the battery lasts since it has not died on us during an outing, this includes weekend camping and day long power outages.

Awesome rechargeable light

Bought this for camping and used it this weekend. Love the fact that this light can be as a spot/dome light by twisting off the white lens. It has the capabilities of hanging from either end which is very functional. Puts off a ton of light!

Great lantern Awesome Customer service

I bought this light for emergencies, it’s really bright and has good battery life. More importantly, there was a defective switch and I called customer service. They were great. I had a replacement in three days. I’ve been a coast fanboy for years and this was the first time I’ve had a problem with one of their products. They were quick to fix it. I’m even more of a fanboy now.

Great lantern for power outages or camping

I love this lantern, brighter than any I’ve ever had and no messy or dangerous fuel/ exhaust to worry about. Ready to go at the touch of a button and like the rest of my lights from Coast it’s rechargeable.

Coast product - good utility lantern

got EAL22 lantern a month ago. bought for "lights out" "black outs" emergencies. turnon modes is very useful. Coast products are lasting value.

Heavy duty

I have 2 of these now. Nice and bright. They are not light weight but built heavy duty. The base is heavier to sit on a table nice. Only thing I wish they made some kind of a shield to snap on one side of light to make it directional. Sometimes you don't need all that lite shining back at you.

Great Lantern - Very Powerful

I was very impressed with the product quality and performance of the XP11R. So when I received an email regarding the EAL22/ rechargeable battery bundle I bought one. Again I was impressed with the performance (high lumens to low lumen - plus other modes) and quality of the EAL22. Nice option having an USB connection for charging me a cell phone. Great for emergency situations. I wish I bought another bundle but will purchase another anyways. Definitely recommended!

EAL22 lantern

EAL22 lantern is an amazing portable light source it’s easy set up either D batteries or like me got the rechargeable battery. 3 levels of brightness and has a flashing red light. bought 4 of them 2 for in the house in case of a storm and we loss power and keep 1 in each of are automobile’s…use it walking my dog’s in the woods.

Very bright and rugged

Use this while camping in place of an old propane lantern. I was concerned it wouldnt be bright enough. That is not the case i intend to buy a couple more of these so i dont have to keep lugging propane tanks and mantels along with me

Love This Lantern

I have had one of these for a few years and love it. I recently bought one as a house warming gift for them. The power seems to go out once or twice a year, usually associated with storms. The lantern works better than just flashlights. You can put it on a table or counter a light an area and leave both hands free. Also more convenient with more than one person in the room.

Power Outage Lantern

I got this lantern after looking at many other alternatives at other retail sites. The dual power option is what finally did it for me. It is very bright at the highest setting almost too bright, but thankfully it has two lower settings. I ultimately went with this option because it can use 3 D cell batteries or their lithium ion battery pack. If push came to shove and the battery pack died or i used the battery pack up by charging my cell phone, I could still use the lantern on regular batteri...

Worth The Money.

I like that the latern has a foldable handle and a cabiner type clip. The highest setting is BRIGHT!!!! The red light is about as bright as the lowest white light setting. It is isn't difficult to figure out. I can't give you a specific weight but it is not to heavy to tote or too light to blow over.

Well built lantern. Built to last the ages. Only drawback was no charging cord was included. Customer service was great and sent me one free.

RED and WHITE LIGHT!?

Awesome lantern! I turned it on to the white light and thought that's ok. Then i clicked it a second time and thought, "nice, that's nice and bright!" Then i clicked it a third time and i thought, "Wow! That's bright!"

Small with a bang.

I bought this to replace a very old battery lantern that I have, this little lite is a monster, I love it, super bright, light weight, looks like I will have many years of use with it, Coast really did a good job designing this one.
