I’ve had this for almost two years. I have found it to be unreliable at best. In this model’s defense… it seems other, comparably priced models from other makers do the same. Issues? First of all, it’s not stainless steel, it’s a form of cast iron I believe. Not very smooth, easy to scratch, rusts easily. If you are used to a real stainless griddle, this will feel rough in comparison. But just as with cast iron, properly oiling and seasoning the griddle goes a long way with this. Biggest issue...

Will never spend the money on this brand again!

Bought this as a gift for my husband for Christmas last year. Didn't assemble and use it to late spring/early summer. Worked well for the few times we used it and then one day when i used it the front section by ignitor caught fire and melted my knobs along with ignitor. Contacted customer service and they said it wasn't covered unless it was a manufacture defect. No Support - Watch for Flames!!

Had this griddle for about a year. Stored it in winter for about 3 months in a garage. One of the 4 sections failed to light. Cooked like that for a few weeks until another section went out and then an impossible fire melted the entire front section and ignition switch. Contacted customer service who sent me an ignition switch that didn't stay on my unit, probes that were all too long, and eventually a new front panel. No instructions on how to replace this safely. Save your money!

My wife and son bought this for me on Father's day. I did everything the instruction manual said to prepare the griddle before using it. After the first use black stuff started flaking off the top of the griddle. So, I washed it with mild soap and re-seasoned the top and again according to the directions and the top of the griddle is still peeling. I don't think there is any saving this top so I'm thinking about purchasing a Blackstone.

Love This Griddle!

I'm new to the griddling world behind the griddle - I've definitely been the receiving end of plenty of griddle food! :) My wife and I waffled over this decision for a bit, but once we made the decision we dove right in. Very happy with my decision!

Very easy to assemble. Lights easily each time even in the winds of Kansas. All four burners heat evenly. Clean up is a breeze. Be sure to get the flat iron melting dome as one of your accessories.

A Believer since 1970

Mounted the Kamado Jr and the Flat Iron on a trailer (chuckwagon style) and use one or the other nearly every week. Love the (Jr) for grilling and smoking everything from brats to chicken breasts to ribs. Family favorites on the (Flat Iron) are breakfasts for sure also corn on the cob and a variety of flat bread recipes. Thinking about trading out the 2 burner flat iron for the 4 burner if it will fit.

I wouldn't buy this again

I went to Menards to see about a griddle. Really wanted black stone but due to availability went with this product. At first was very pleased with the product then about 3 months in the non stick coating began to peel off contacted the customer support team here at char griller and they said it's not covered under their warranty. I will be buying a black stone and this will be going to the dump!

Great grill love it!

I love it! It's awesome to make so much food at once! Bacon cooked perfectly and even. Burgers all came out perfect! Even did some grilled veggies that tasted amazing. Can't wait to take it camping as it folds down for easy transport.

Can do everything except smoke and indirect cooking. Breakfast? Steaks chops fish veggies all like restaurants do it!

Poor customer service

We have used this griddle as our old grill is in the trash but the assembly was a pain, the griddle is clearly not bent at 90 which makes the cover almost impossible to use, the legs do not open far enough to put the shelf on without muscling it in with a mallett. Pictures were immediately take and sent in only to be asked for a bunch of more pictures, the outcome was "The engineers determined the construction is so poor its advised you return the product to the retailer and get a new unit" Ummm...

Wow, far exceeds expectations.

Right out of the box we're setup and grilling! Very easy to assemble, even with one person it can be done. Much easier with two though. The portability of the grill was huge for me, because we were doing a charity cookoff. It folds up and fits in the back of my crossover vehicle with room to space. Love it!

It's flawed

I bought this grill because the Blackstone I wanted was out of stock. This was difficult to put together. We had to watch several videos because it didn't come together as easily as the instructions made it seem. The heat that comes through the gaps on the sides have caused some of my utensils to melt/char. It also caused a glass bottle to shatter at one point. After maybe less than a dozen uses, the ignitor spontaneously caught fire and leaked battery acid and molten plastic on my deck. I'm not...

Easy Like Sunday Morning Breakfast!

First off.... the assembly was EASY! It says to use two people and it probably could've been easier if I had. Once I got the items out of the box, it only took 25-30 minutes to do it by myself! Hardest part (which is where I see 2 people is needed) is getting the shelf in-between the legs. After I did that, it was smoooth sailing. Broken right out of the box

I was so excited when I brought this home on Saturday. Assembled it right away and then came the bad news! I couldn't use it! The back panel is bent so far out of shape that it causes the two middle burner tube and the two middle valves to not line up and when I went to start it for the first time it caused two torches at the front of the griddle.
