Our first GE Café series refrigerator had to be replaced after less than six years. I hope this one performs better.

10 years and still loving this refrigerator

I purchased this refrigerator about 10 years ago. Since that time, we make coffee using the Keurig at least once a day. The chipped filters can be pricey, but they work well and water does taste very good. At times, the fridge can make some loud and odd noises as the compressor turns on and off, but the cooling id very good. My only complaints after years of ownerships are that the stainless steel easily fingerprints and the ice maker gets clogged due to the heating element for the Keurig b...

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - ZERO STARS

I hate this fridge. The sellers left it for us and it is barely 5 years old. I have replaced two LED lights and have a service tech out twice to repair. It does not maintain temperature, has humidity inside (yes I replaced the seals too), now the in door icemaker/water dispenser has stopped working. The interior lights come on 10% of the time. This thing makes me angry when I look at it. $4K fridge. AVOID. GE GARBAGE.

Great Quality Product

I had a GE Cafe refrigerator before and I love it. Once my refrigerator started to have issues after years, I decided to purchase the same refrigerator without hesitation. The product is top notch.

Not great features

Good fridge

Great fridge except the water dispenser is inside & the button is hard to use. I personally don't love French Door fridges because I find it hard to find the food in the freezer, this doesn't bother most people.

Lingering smell

The fridge has a lingering chemical/plastic scent after 1.5 months. It is very strong.

great refrigerator

This refrigerator looks good, I feel it's pretty roomy for a counter depth model, I love the shelving flexibility. I really love the drawer freezer. I would say the only thing I don't like is the water dispenser is very hard to press, I don't usually get my water from the refrigerator so It doesn't bother me too much but it is tough.

No bueno

its a bad build. The water dispenser is insanely hard to press. The interior is cheap and not really put together that well.

Simple yet elegant!

Simply yet very classy. It matches my Cafe double oven in black. Did not want water outside so this is perfect. Too many features just present extra problems. I am upset that my remote quit on my oven. I don’t understand why being it is a wifi related issue.

Just beautiful refrigerator. Love everything about it, shelves internal lights and capacity. Quiet as well.

Great fridge for a smaller household

This refrigerator is on the smaller side, but works just great for two retirees. The water dispenser inside the refrigerator is just fine. You do need two hands to operate it one hand to hold your glass and one hand to press the button. We never liked the exterior water dispensers as they make such a mess. And we very rarely use the water from the fridge anyway. Seems to work just great, and the interior is nice and bright for us older folks who have a hard time seeing things. Some of the newer ...

GE Cafe as replacement for Sub Zero

In general this is a nice refrigerator. It is a replacement for a sub zero I had for 26 years. I miss my big crisper drawer. The two produce drawers are just too small. On the plus side:it is quiet, the inside water dispenser is very convenient and the bottom freezer is fairly large.

Not what we expected

Considering this is suppose to be a premium appliance with a premium price…the actual product is no where close to premium. It’s basically a GE Profile for twice the price. Although everything is make out of plastic. The Smart features are a joke…although they have an app, you have to plug in a USB to add photos…which is basically the only feature it has. The matte black color is not black…its more of a charcoal grey. Very disappoint that I can’t return it.

Poorly regulated temperature

Looks great but cannot be trusted to regulate temperature properly. This is our second one in 4 months as the first one was a lemon (or so we thought). We frequently have to move things to our outside 40 year old refrigerator as the temps get up to mid 50’s. A big disappointment and waste of money.

Love all the clean lines, lights and adjustable sh

Love that every thought by this s easily accessible! Shelves, drawers, ice are all located with the consumer in mind. I would have given 5 stars except for one minor adjustment I would make. The water dispenser inside is at an awkward angle unless both doors are open. Love the design and sleek exterior without dispensers on the outside.
