What Customers Are Saying
The refrigerator has an attractive, sleek design with a spacious interior and efficient organization. Customers praise the matte white finish and bronze/gold hardware, noting it serves as a stylish focal point in the kitchen. However, some report issues with the water dispenser, freezer drawer, and overall build quality not matching the premium price. While most are satisfied with the product, especially the appearance and storage space, a few have experienced premature failures, raising concerns about reliability.

This refrigerator was a replacement of the same model that failed after just over 2 years of use. The needed compressor was on back order for several weeks. Fortunately I had purchased an extended warranty that provided the replacement. It is good looking and quiet. Hopefully this one lasts longer than the first one. Only selected this model again because it matches our other appliances.

Freezer drawer squeaks, it's horrible!
Would Not RecommendFreezer drawer squeaks really bad. Plastic gears/wheels are horrible. It squeaked really loud while empty. I figured maybe it had to be filled up. Filled it up and still squeaks. It's horrible. Sounds like cheap hardware. I don't think it is going to last. Very disappointed. For the price it should be made sturdier

Weird noises.
Would Not RecommendI love the look and set up of my GE Cafe refrigerator but it continually “beeps” (not door open beep. Ice maker gets an ice cube stick - “beep”- a soda can in front of opening “beep” - unplug, replug, “beep.” Only three years old.

Nice Fridge
Would RecommendJust been installed for a week. So far so good. The water dispenser inside the wall is a little small but I like better than being in the outside of the door.

the delivery
Would RecommendWe have a problem with the promise made to remove the old fridge, connect the new one, and take away the hold one. The technition sent to do the job was not familiar with how to remove a built in refrigerator so he neither removed it or connected the new one. all they did was deliver the new one and leave it in the middle of the kitchen floor. We were not happy about that. All he had to do was look on Youtube. There are several videos showing how to remove a built in Sub-Zero fridgerator/freez...

Great fridge!
Would RecommendLove the look of the fridge and it works great. Just wish the ice machine produced ice a little faster!

Very shallow interior space.
This is a very elegant unit, and I've had no issues with the performance. But I assumed that since the exterior was the same size as my old unit, the storage space would also be the same. Shockingly, the Cafe holds 1/3 less in the drawers and main shelves than my old Samsung! I didn't know this due to purchasing online without actually seeing one in person. Also, initially, there was a loud buzzing noise when the motor ran, but we found this was due to a metal piece behind the back, and after we...
