Counter depth appliance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A General Electric white counter-depth refrigerator was my requirement. It is a beautiful addition to my kitchen. Although I sacrificed some space with the counter depth, the trade-off is acceptable. The capacity works well for me. The configuration provides more shelves than I use. The cooling system works great, and it is much quieter than my previous appliance.

Perfect for smaller spaces!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great fridge for small space. All of the bells and whistles of a larger fridge, just more compact. Love the interior water filter and adjustable shelves. Fridge is beautiful and has earned many compliments on how sleek and stylish it is.

Nice appliance with features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The refrigerator width drawer allow the owner to control the how cold the drawer temp is and it has a good capacity. The fruit and vegetable drawers are small and don't hold enough for people who purchase a lot of fresh produce. The door shelves are very deep with adds a lot of space. It's great to have a digital readout of the frig and freezer settings. Having two sets of LED lights, at the top and nears the lower drawers is awesome.

Repair issue

Not so good, compressor quit working after three years. Still waiting on repairman to show up after almost two months.

Noise

We have had the appliance installed for 2 days now and if I had known that it was going to be as noisy as it is I would not have bought it. The noise is constant and there's no running from it. It's very distracting. I expect a "burn-in" phase with new products but this noise does not appear to be going away. Would not recommend this product to anyone due to the noise.

New purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Capacity very good for a counter depth unit. French doors are great in our limited space, bottom freezer w/ice maker perfect. Unit is VERY quiet! Seems to keep set temps very accurately. Drawer shelves tracks are a bit sloppy, tend to bind on closing if not pushed in from exact center. Very strange they charge a premium for a basic white painted unit!!!

A wonderful addition to my kitchen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The capacity, functionality and certainly the beauty of the Café refrigerator is exceptional. It’s well designed inside and out. I love the black matte finish with the brushed stainless handles. My next purchase will be the Cafe microwave as well as the slide in range to match the refrigerator. Also beautiful and well-made!

Love my new fridge!

I just received and had installed my new Café matte white French door refrigerator. It's the smallest model at 18.6 cubit feet and counter depth, which I love. It fits perfectly in the custom built space in my newly remodeled kitchen. I am looking forward to having the other Café appliances installed soon. Not only is she gorgeous but so efficient! The only small downside is the on/off slide button in the interior ice maker, is located in the bottom freezer drawer and not on the panel above in t...

Food stays fresher!

The interior is much brighter than our previous refrigerator and makes it easy to find everything. We have it for three weeks and I have noticed vegetables and fruit and staying fresh longer we are very pleased.

Product review

It is smaller than my old refrigerator but that is on me for not focusing more on the cf. It is rather noisy and the water coming from the dispenser is not cold. I think the design would’ve been better if the shelves were a little deeper and the storage compartments on the door or a little more shallow. I do realize, however, that this is a personal preference statement.

Has done a great job so far!

We have had our fridge for 5 years, it has worked just fine. Recently one of the springs broke for the door flap. The GE website was easy to navigate to find the part and order it. This fridge is a counter depth model, we needed that feature to make it workable in our kitchen. The shallow depth makes it easier to not lose food in the back.

Don't buy unseen.

This refrigerator is not well designed. The crisper drawers are too small and have a lot of wasted space. The cabinet rattles on different cycles. The temperature control is not accurate. The recommendation is to set at 37deg. If I do that things freeze in the refrigerator part. The cooling is not uniform . Half a shelf will freeze and the other half does not. The freezer drawer wobbles when opening and the ice tray shelf doesn't open and close easily. I had to buy sight unseen because I needed ...

Stunning Refrigerator

We chose the cafe products for our new kitchen and we are so happy w our choice . The matte finish and brass handles are stunning

Lasted 5 days

Have had this refrigerator for 5 days and have already called for service. Refrigerator light doesn't work, temperature is inconsistent, goes from cold to warm and is noisy. Have other GE appliances but this fridge is a lemon.

So Far, So Good

It’s only been 2 weeks since the fridge arrived, but it’s working perfectly and is well designed. It’s quiet, well organized, and nicely lit inside and has a flexible variety of bins and shelves. Compared to older fridges, storage has been to reallocated from the shelves to the doors, which improves accessibility but does make the veggie and fruit bins a little smaller. Yogurt froze on the top shelf near the cold air outlet, so we moved it and upped the setting to 39 degrees. The big question is...
