As soon as the installers left the fk’n freezer door alarm started ringing and has not stopped!!!!q

Compressor Quit Within 14 Months of Install

The compressor went bad after only 14 months of use. That is absolutely unacceptable for an appliance in this price range, or any brand new refrigerator for that matter. This is the 2nd appliance with major issues in our Cafe suite (the range needed a repair immediately) installed 14 months ago. We have enjoyed the look of the appliance and features, but those do not make up for a major repair needed in such a short amount of time.

Sturdy fridge

Great fridge. Sturdy and well designed. However the display they put is ancient like a phone from 2007. Also the UI is no way near 2023 standards

Love the style

Love the look of the matte black, especially with the black handle set. Handle set cost too much, but wanted that look. Only had for 1 month, but so far everything works well. I like how the French doors need to be pushed shut. Makes it feel solid with the tight seal.

Loving my cafe fridge

This is an amazing product! We are so amazed at the capacity and the ability to see all we have with the wonderful LED lighting. I am really enjoying seeing how many ounces of water I’m getting. The hot water dispenser is a remarkable feature. Also I love getting notifications that my freezer door is open. I know that’s weird but I just love all the features!!

This refrigerator is a life changer

It's hard to believe it when I say this fridge could, but I'm not lying when I say it has improved the quality of our life in the kitchen. The amount of space, the arrangement of the drawers and shelves, the icemaker/ water feature in the door, the freezer space - everything has been so well thought out, that this is by far the easiest refrigerator we have ever owned. Beautiful design, love the black color, efficient cooling, hot water and ice dispensers work flawlessly, really exceeds our expectations.

French Doors

Wish French doors had a soft close and trays on left side of French door were wider.

Bad workmanship

Three refridgerator is less than 2 years old and the compressor is bad. It is covered under warranty but getting GE to honor the warranty is like pulling teeth. Avoid it all.

The water dispenser is in a non-ergonomically friendly place. A few months after having it, a glass drawer broke while gently cleaning it.

Bad Water

The touch screen did not work the date (10/4/23) it was delivered. Three weeks later it has not been fixed. Also, the water has a plastic taste even though many gallons have been run through the system. It appears to be related to the reservoir that holds the chilled water.

Creates our kitchen design

One of the prettiest appliance lines out there in this refrigerators already working great within 2 hours of installation. The amount of customization you can do with the trim and handles allows it to blend in with any kitchen and become a part of it.

Lasted me less than 30 days.

This unit was purchased in July, 2023 delivered end of August. Was installed Mid September, and it has failed me already. Woke up to a puddle of water, a freezer that sounded like a lawn mower. The freezer door was closed, the fridge was still working and the power was still on. So yes I can confirm that the freezer broke already. Luckily the vendor is getting me a new one, rather than deal with getting this replaced.
