Moldy smell

I’ve only had this coffee machine for a couple of months, and I already noticed a strong moldy smell coming from the water reservoir. I tried running multiple cycles with diluted vinegar, but the smell is still there. It’s extremely disappointing, especially considering how much money I spent. I honestly feel I would have been better off with a cheaper coffee maker.

Great taste....but doesn't last long

Overall its makes very good coffee, but I can't recommend it thus far because the original one I received broke within a year, which falls within the warranty. This allowed me to have it replaced pretty easily, but less than a year later again, the replacement is now faulty. Even though it's less than a year from when I got this new machine, it's not within the warranty from the original purchase so they won't replace. Great coffee maker

This product was purchased for our anniversary. My husband does not drink coffee nor could he figure out how to reset the time on my old coffee maker. However when he found out that this one had the thermal pot like I wanted again and connected to the appliance app he was excited. I have been please with the capacity along with how fast it brews. Delicious brewed coffee

Brews Delicious coffee! The carafe keeps the coffee hot for a long time. Coffee doesn't taste bitter at all.

Water reservoir is not removable

The white matte carafe is already scratched after only a few days of use It has a bad design flaw about the water reservoir. You cant remove it or clean it. It collects mold because it has a trim that does not allow you to clean it. You need a pitcher to fill in the water reservoir as opposed to something removable.

Beautiful white Cafe Coffee Maker but Plastic.

The coffee is being brewed thru plastic until it goes into the craft. It is very hard to clean. I would like to exchange for a stainless version. But the coffee is very good.

Love it!

I absolutely love my cafe’ specialty brewer. I will admit I bought it for the aesthetics and didn’t expect a whole lot from it other than how it looks, but it brews an amazing cup of coffee and the thermal carafe does an excellent job at keeping the coffee warm as my husband wakes up several hours earlier than I do.

Exceptional Coffee

Bought the Cafe coffee maker primarily to match my Cafe appliances but actually the coffee maker is awesome. Several strength and cup options. The taste has been exceptional and I love the thermal carafe! Would highly recommend.

Gorgeous design and delicious coffee

This is stunningly beautiful and efficient design. I brew my first café and it came out to be delicious coffee very quiet and fast. I’m happy that he has multiple settings for what type of strength you like in your coffee And even how hot or not you want the water to be! Excited and happy about my purchase!

DO NOT BUY!

The rose gold trim on the coffee maker (where the coffee comes through the filter to the carafe) chips off. Bought extra warranty and contacted GE for replacement. They refuse to replace stating "This warranty does not cover appearance items such as dents, scratches, rust, trim, painted/porcelain finishes and non-operational defects." Brews hot and delicious tasting coffee!

Love this coffee maker! Delivers smooth and great tasting coffee comparing to other brands I've bought of lessor price ranges. Only issue experienced is it stops functioning after a year to a year and a half for some reason. Where other coffee makers last way longer. I've purchased 3 of these by now. Using filtered water is recommendable.

Poor design

The coffee pot was great when new but not even a year old and all the trim started to tarnish. Could not get a replacement. I was told trim was not covered under warranty.

Great Coffee Maker

I love coffee and I absolutely love Cafe Specialty Drip Coffee Maker. My children got it for me for Mother's Day and I will say I wasn't sure at first if I was going to like it, as I have always used Cuisinart coffee makers. I am very very happy with my Cafe Specialty Drip Coffee Maker it makes the perfect cup of coffee every time and the carafe keeps it warm for a couple of hours.

Looks Great but Doesn't Last

This is our second CAFE drip coffee maker. The 1st one stopped working altogether within 14 months. Luckily Cafe replaced the entire unit at no cost to us even though it was out of warranty. We have had the second one for about 17 months and the handle on the carafe has split and is coming unattached at the top and the copper coating bubbling and coming off. Looks great and makes fine coffee but doesn't last.

Handle Peeled Off

All good except the "copper" finish on the pot handle keeps peeling off. I've had one replace under warranty, but the replacement unit also peeled off. I do not abuse the product and I've never put it in the dishwasher. I would've thrown it away without looking back if it was not this expensive. (yes, this is the most expensive coffee maker I've ever owned).

Great features!!!

I just made my first coffee, it was delicious. Can't get over the features. It was hot enough for my taste. I have been looking for a machine that actually performs like it should. I love my coffee hot, not warm. This is a keeper. Café line is it.

Great coffee, poor design

Reviewed after about 3 years of owning it: as so many have noted, the handle of the carafe has gradually been chipping off. A bit of a nuisance until today, when a piece of metallic actually got lodged in my husband’s finger that I had to remove with tweezers. The inside also doesn’t appear to be waterproof and there’s been water stuck inside the carafe that we haven’t been able to remove for who knows how long — even after keeping it upside down for days.
