Fantastic coffee maker with one problem

Good looking.

It is quite good looking. the features are nice and intuitive. My 2 critiques are that it really doesn't keep the coffee warm after the first cup (at the highest temperature), and it doesn't release all the coffee at the end without removing the top.

Descaling Directions in Booklet Incorrect

I attempted to descale my coffeemaker according to the directions in the booklet. I spent two hours descaling (I thought I was, anyway.) but to no avail. Apparently, the directions in the booklet are incorrect. Worked great until suddenly stopped working at all

Worked great until one day it stopped brewing and now we are in a warranty claim.

Good coffee, bad carafe

The machine itself is good but, as others have noted, the finishes on the carafe handle are flaking off.

Good machine but terrible carafe

The coffee machine itself works well, but the carafe is terrible. After using it for only a few years, the material around the handle is separating and falling apart. Pretty soon it will be so bad that I won't be able to use the machine at all anymore. When I ordered this machine I was hoping it would be the last coffee machine I would ever need, but it looks like I'll be shopping for a new model soon.

Bad carafe

The machine makes good coffee but the thermal carafe is terrible. After only 2 years , the finish on the handle separated leaving sharp end. Now it is corroded.

Good coffee, bad descaling.

No issues until descaling then I was unable to get the machine to restart normally. Apparently from the reviews this is a common issue. One suggestion for fixing the issue was to send it for professional repair. Likely won’t do that or buy another GE Cafe either.

Carafe Handle Not Good

Coffee taste great. Handle cover material started to peel after 6 months.

Good coffee, but not worth the expense

I’ve had mine for 3 years now and unfortunately it’s very disappointing for its cost. There are multiple announces with unmanaged condensation. The grounds basket housing condensates and makes a mess, the grounds lids condensates and makes a mess, the reservoir lid condensates and makes a mess. Also, the LED display is beginning to get blank spots. There is no WiFi info or control over the warming plate (2 hours with no control or even a timer) Lastly, the glass carafe doesn’t pour driples...

Metal handle peels off

Great drip coffee maker..... until, the metal handle on the carafe finish begins to peel. It is sharp and resulted in a finger laceration. The company refused to replace it. Distinct by POOR design!

Makes great tasting coffee

This coffee maker makes excellent coffee and is easy to use. Love that I can start it in the bedroom and get a notification when brewing is finished before going downstairs to the kitchen. The carafe keeps the coffee hot for over two hours.

Not that so good

This is a good drip.i had a bunn for about 10 years and I find this make similar but do not recommend if you are not seeking a short life one that will look terrible within a year.

Great but handle always rusts.

Beautiful machine except that the handle rusts and breaks- this has now happened with 2 replacements. I see that many others have complained about this- there is clearly a defect and no fix from the company except to keep buying replacements until they rust and break again.

Coffee Tastes Great with Bad Handle

We really like this coffee maker other than the issue that happened this morning. There's a rust forming at the handle and it became the weak spot and broke off. Will have to use it without the handle until we decide to buy the replacement at some point..

Limited use

Makes great coffee fast, however once a year it goes down and I have to purchase another one…. This is my third one in two years

Great but need improving

After a year of ownership copper plating started to corrode and peel. Metal filter came undone from one of the seams and lets coffee grounds in the pot.

Beautiful but has issues

We have loved our Cafe coffee maker, so much so that we have encouraged other family members to purchase one as well. Unfortunately, after a short period of time, the digital lights on the display have started to burn out. Too late to return it but buyer beware! Please fix this feature as you have the best looking coffee maker out there - a few tweaks and I'll buy it again!

LED lights burn out

It's been a good coffee maker but our LED lights are burning out making it difficult to see the time and make coffee.
