It goes to sleep and falls off the network. I had to use usb to make sure my computer could print from it. It does work wirelessly from my phone, though.

Wireless problems with this model
Brother has yet to issue a software update so that it can print wirelessly from my PC. Brother says that the problem is a Microsoft update, but regardless, they sell a wireless printer that can only partially function.

Super ease of use
The model we bought was to replace a competitor’s printer. The brother was more expensive than the competitor but the ease of use is so much better that the peace of mind and my wife’s happiness meter makes it worth the difference and then some.

Much good, some iffy
Prints and scans beautifully. Excellent color reproduction. Fast. Occasionally loses wi-fi connection and needs to be rebooted. The subscription service did not work right and was confusing. The cartridges are uber expensive and replacing them cost half as much as the device itself.
