Would RecommendI had this installed two months ago and am very pleased. Having owned both Generac and Kohler standby generators, I would rate the Briggs and Stratton 1st, the Kohler 2nd and the Generac third. The Briggs and Stratton and the Kohler seem more substantial than the Generac and the Briggs and Stratton has the best warranty; 10 years parts, labor and travel.

Ongoing Issues with B&S Standby Generator
Would Not RecommendPurchased the unit in December 2024 after Helene knocked our power out for 10 days. Power outage in February 2025 and the unit funtiined for 1 hour before shutting down. Next power outage in April 2025, and although the unit powered up, there was no power being transferred into my home. Not happy so far...

I bought by 26kw Briggs in fall of 2022. After 8 months I noticed it wasn’t running its weekly duty cycle. Called my local dealer and the came out replaced to started under warranty. Have had no other issues and keep my dealer on a schedule for preventative maintenance. This purchase was researched throughly and found Briggs to have the best product, warranty and reliability overall as a product. Powers whole 3900 sq/ft house
Would RecommendI’ve had two power outages lasting for a total of three days. Almost 4000 sq feet of house with 3 HVAC systems, two large refrigerators, electric 48 inch double oven/range. PP26 powered all without a problem.

Well built, reliable, strong company
Would RecommendWas installed April 1, 2023 and ice storm took out power April 3, 2023. Started up and worked perfectly for the next two days. Power was out to 338,000 customers in Ontario. We were lucky with others going a week or more without. Worked as promised. My son purchased the same unit 3 month before this and was without power for 3 days. They work like they should. Great backup generator
Would RecommendWe bought this system in 2018. It has run great since. Many multi-outages lasting 2 to 10 hrs. or more. Only problem we had was this week on the schedule run, for some reason an error occur and the system would not start. Check gas and it was fine. Turn the generator off and then back on the it work great. Not sure what that was all about. So far this system has work as we had hoped.
