What Customers Are Saying

The drill bit performs well for some tile types like travertine and marble, but struggles with harder tiles like porcelain. Its durability is inconsistent, with some users reporting it lasting through multiple holes and others finding it dulling or breaking after just a few uses. Proper tool selection and drilling technique are important, as using a hammer drill and going slowly and steadily seems to yield the best results.

Waste of money

Do your self a favor and get a diamond bit with waterering device. Takes way to long and requires to much pressure on tile already installed. Chips tile also. Bosch used to make better quality than this.

Glass / ceramic drill bit

Would Recommend

I needed a drill that would penetrate a very delicate piece of pottery. I had tried some of the cheaper models before and had mixed results. This drill was real pleasure to use and did the job very well.

Expensive, and not durable

Would Not Recommend

I bought this as it was recommended to drill 2 holes in my countertop to secure my dishwasher. It’s granite, and I got halfway through one hole before it burnt out.

Best drill for tile

Would Recommend

I bought this drill in hopes that it would drill a clean hole through ceramic tile. I have to say it’s the best drill I have ever used. It performed above and beyond expected.

Drill bit for ceramic tile

Would Recommend

I needed a bit to drill some holes in ceramics tile and salesman al Lowes said this was a new product and he did not have any data on the performance of this product. I used it for a project at church mounting hand rails and the bit will drill very quickly through tile. When I finished it still looked new. I did use a cup of water to dip the bit occasionally to keep it cool. It performed very well.

Perfect for ceramic tile, great price

Would Recommend

The most nerve racking part of my bathroom renovation was drilling into my freshly installed subway tile to install a toilet paper holder -- I needed two small holes fairly close together (about an inch) and was concerned about cracking. This bit made the process a breeze -- tested it out with some spare tile (be sure to use painters tape over the spot you're drilling to stop any skating), kept the drill speed low and the pressure even -- it breezed through the 1/4 inch thick tile with no cracki...

Great Bit for Ceramic Tile

Would Recommend

I tried using a 1/4 Tapcon bit I had previously used on concrete and got nowhere after about 60 seconds of chewed threw the ceramic tile floor like it was noting. 3 seconds and done!

Poor on tile

I was only able to drill 2 holes in my bathroom shower tile. For the money I expected it to last longer.

Good bit, not for porcelain

Would Recommend

Bought the bit when I didn't have my glasses so I didn't see the part of the label that states it is not meant for porcelain tile, which is why I bought it. Drills well in other materials but not in porcelain.

Amazing!

Ok. I had to drill eight, 1/4" holes in ceramic tile to hang 2 shower curtain rods in my new home. I got a standard, diamond dust bit and the first hole took 15 minutes to drill. Holding a drill above your head for 15 minutes feels like 30. The next one took 25 minutes, as the bit dulled. I tried 2 more bits (all marked as ceramic tile/glass bits from name-brand manufacturers) on my way to finishing hole number 5. I was picking up something in the tool action of my local hardware store and...
