Cope with it!

I use one when doing custom finish trim. Forget using a hand saw cope! Using the right blade and make the right adjustments it makes coping trim way faster!

Love it

I bought this saw back about a year ago and have only used it a few times and it is incredible. I love the power and the quick blade change. It is so nice to be able to just reach and slide the lever over and grab the blade and pull it out and slide the new one in.

Good but heavy

Got it for Christmas, needed a new one, has a lot of great features. Used only once and found it to be a little heavy for it's size. Maybe good or bad?? Weight from long cord added to weight problem. Had to use a off brand blade due to the material I was cutting. It didn't stay in that well. Down side is that you can only use a Bosch blades effectively.

Powerful Saw

I bought this saw to use on an outdoor garden bridge project involving 2" x 12" pressure treated lumber. I had to cut an arc in two pieces that served as the foundation. The saw went right through the wood with no problems at all.

Easy to use

I had a jig saw from the 60's so I figured it's time for a new one. What a difference. Variable speed control and speed setting. Very comfortable cuts like a dream. Super tool.

Perfection

I have tried many Jig Saws, this is the best one I have used for any price. Power, grip, adjust ability. Could supply more than one blade maybe.....

Power and accuracy

I got this saw specifically to help me complete a custom hardwood table. The wood is aged NW Madrona, very hard and 2.5 inches thick. The JS470 does an outstanding job.....true, straight and efficient

Highly Recommened

The saw works better then expected. The blade lock works great, I tried the blade lock on a Dewalt after reading reviews and I struggled to get the blade properly locked in. I like that the shoe has a steel insert to resist scratches and wear.

Great saw

I haven't owned a jig saw for many years so I'm sure all of the newer saws are improved but this saw is great. I forgot my circular saw recently and used this saw all day to fill in and I'm amazed it did so well. Accurate and easy.

Great Saw

I recently retired and now have time to spend on woodworking projects that I enjoy. I decided to replace the jig saw I have had for years. After doing the research and reading the reviews I bought the Bosch JS470E. Unbelievable! This saw is Smooth, Powerful, and Precise. Everything I hoped for and more.

Best jig saw I've owned

Such a great tool! I used to try not to use jig saws because I always had trouble making good cuts but once I bought this Bosch and used it, I now try to find an excuse to make a cut with it. It has great features and is very powerful. Not only does it have variable speed trigger but you can change the overall speed with a simple dial. The blade is really easy to change and the controls for blade orbital action and debris blower to keep your cutting line visible are simple to use. Great design!

I purchased the 470E, having difficulty comparing this to the 572EL, the top line model costing about $ 100 more. Both have about the same power & weight & cutting features. My 470E came with 1 wood blade, a plastic case, a no mar plastic footplate, which snaps on & an anti splinter insert. The insert was impossible to get on as the instructions were awful. Runs like a Swiss watch .

I needed a new jigsaw to replace another brand that was wearing out . I looked for an American made tool with no luck . When I saw this tool was made in Switzerland , and from past experience with Swiss-made products , I decided to give it a try . I am very pleased with the performance of this tool .

Great saw for heavy scroll work

Bought one of these for doing scroll work on 2x6 and 2x8 lumber. It does a great job, cuts quickly, doesn't get hot and never bogs down. The variable speed trigger combined with the speed limiter dial worked very well for controlling speed. It makes it very easy to set the speed appropriate for the work being done. Really glad I chose this model

My 50 year old American built Black and Decker finally bit the dust, so when it came time to tear off 520sq' of cedar deck, I chose the 7amp Bosch jigsaw. What a great power tool, powerful, clean cuts and smooth operation.

great features

I received this jig saw as a gift. I finally put it to use the other day making mop trolley platform. Installing and removing the blade was real easy and fast. The feel of the handle was great controlling the saw. I am sure this tool will be used for other projects and I am looking forward to use it again.
