The One and Only Jigsaw you will need

I recently purchase the JS470E jigsaw and it has out performed my expectations on a number of projects I have tackled I would recommend the JS47OE for anyone who needs a powerful all purpose jigsaw that performs exceedingly well for light to heavy duty projects.

Great Jig Saw

Needed a new jig saw to replace my 46 year old one. The blade holder holds the blade straight and true with no wobble or twisting. At last I can saw a straight plumb line. Very well balanced and easy to hold. It is now a pleasure to be able to saw with precision.

Love this saw, I use it a lot to cut metal and it works perfectly, I've only used it up to 1/8" but it eats thru it. The one feature I like a lot is the drive roller right behind the blade which keeps the blade from bending. But overall I'm impressed with it completely.

First purchase of a new jig saw in 30 years. Great tool! Plenty of power, easy to handle and cuts like the proverbial "hot knife through butter". I had no trouble seeing and following all my cut lines. Highly recommended.

Versatile Tough Guy

I bought this jigsaw about a year ago and I am very satisfied with this tool. It is easy to handle and its robustness gives it a very good stability. I cut several types of material of different thicknesses and I always arrive at the desired result. Some prefer smaller jigsaws to have greater flexibility of movement and create complex shapes, but I find that this model provides a good balance between robustness and flexibility for a wide variety of jobs.

I waited a long time to buy a jigsaw and I have no regrets of buying this one and I had a few surprises. For example, the ease of changing the blade, the plastic cover base plate, the good blades, and of course the amazing long cord. What a charm to have such a long electric cord. Great product. By the way, I've had this saw for 4 years.

A well-made tool is irreplaceable

Go ahead. Buy a cheap tool. What's it get you? It's unreliable and it will break. I've owned this baby for a few years and no matter the job, it's been there for me. I knew the instant I first picked it up I had a solid, tough tool in my hand. That's the way Bosch makes 'em. I love it.

Great jig saw

Bought this unit at a local store. Was immediately impressed. Easy to setup, powerful, smooth running and makes quick and accurate cuts.

Professional's Opinion

Bosch unquestionably continues its history of producing outstanding Jigsaws with the JS470E. I've been using this fairly heavily (considering it's a Jigsaw) and it has not let me down. Love the T-shank design and the power and smoothness of cut. My only suggestion to bosch is to add an LED.

Quality Saw

Easy to use. Tackles the hardest jobs with ease. Slices thru 2 inch material without a hiccup. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for.

I have put about 150 hours on your excellent jig saw. I do very fancy patterns. I build customs railings out of cedar. people think that I used a scroll saw. I had a DeWalt before and there is no comparison.

2nd one I Have owned

This the 2nd unit i Have owned, had unit for about 10 years, used in my cabinet shop no problems, had to sell due to s move and retirement. After the move and liquidation of all my tools I found I needed s power saw to handle different sawing needs, so I bought the JS470E. I have only one complaint, the trigger had a dead spot. I returned to Lowes and they gave a new one no questions

Good and bad features

Makes great and quick cuts. The downsides are no light; requires a specific blade (the ones I had do not work); a little awkward setting up angle cuts and requires some angle setting tools to do it properly.
