Great tool, needs a light

Smooth running, powerful, easy to use, just wish it had a light. I replaced an old Black and Decker with this Bosch and there's no comparison in power and quality, but even my old cheap B&D jigsaw had a little light on board to illuminate the cutting area. This one makes beautiful plunge cuts, easy to hold level and moves easily over the work piece.

Lacks precise blade control

I purchased this model and tried it for 30 days and have returned it. I am an avid home woodworker and have used several jigsaws. While this Bosch runs nicely and smoothly, it doesn't cut square to the board. The problem is with the slot on the roller that is supposed to hold the blade in place, as the slot is too wide for normal blades including the new Bosch blades I was using. The wide slot allows the blade to move significantly. I called Bosch customer service about this and they acknowledge...

Got as an Xmas present. My other one (not Bosch) bit the dust. Have only had a chance to use it once and was very happy with performance and features. Love how easy to attach blade.

Love this jig saw

I bought this to replace a cheaper brand. Although it was a little more than I had hoped to spend, I'm extremely glad that I chose this one. I've used 2 other brands in the past & this one is by far the best. I feel as though I have more control when using it & it seems to cut alot smoother.

Easy to control

I bought this saw after a 50 year old Black and Decker given to me by my grandfather gave out (avacodo green if that's any indication). I am a diy person and am currently making my own outdoor furniture, a first for me. I am retired and learning wood working. As a result for the last 6 months been buying the additional tools I need. smooth operation

I purchased this jigsaw over a year ago and like all bosch tools the most obvious point is ease of operation and quality of tool. this is one smooth saw very little vibration transferred to your hand an straight quick cutting, buy good blades and this is one tool no diy should be without.

Remodelers friend

I have owned a predecessor to this model for several years, and have found it indispensable for many tasks around the house for updating and remodeling our home. Bosch offers tremendous variety of blades for cutting almost any material including a carbide "grit edge" blade for ceramic material or cement "backer board". I have purchased other Bosch power tools over the years, and often found them to have universal features not offered by other manufacturers.

Great Jig Saw

When I purchased this jigsaw I was only replacing an ancient jigsaw I purchased several decades ago. I didn't have any expectations at all. The price was fair, and I knew Bosch had a reputation for quality tools so I took the plunge. I have to say after using this tool, I was impressed. It's smooth running, plenty of power, and easy to adjust.

Very comfortable to use

Used this jigsaw a few times now and been very happy with it. Low vibration, tracks very well and powers through hard woods. Awesome tool.

Great and Reasonably priced

I've had a variety of jigsaws and this really beats them all. Can't afford the expensive models that are supposed to be so great, but if they are much better than this one I would be surprised. Just the right number of features with a good 1 inch stroke and a powerful motor makes this one a darn good buy. So far, I've used this with hard wood, soft wood, 2x4's, sheeting, and plywood and it never slowed down or made a bad cut.

Have been very happyy with precise cuts and quality of cuts

Clean cuts, comfortable to use

I've used the saw several times on many materials from pressure treated 2x's to fiberglass and matched with the right blade the saw cuts flawlessly.

Bosch 6.5 corded jigsaw

Used 1st time on 10/5/15, did all I could want to do effortlessly, would recommend.

A little cheap

Always have had low end jig saws but decided to finally buy what I thought was a decent one. Bosh is a well respected name but this saw - just OK. I'm on the website ordering a replacement blade lever. It's plastic and broke off in my hand the second time I used the saw. I'm sure Bosh would fix it if I paid postage but for 1.65 I get an OK saw with cheap parts.

Worth the upgrade

For years I had been using a really cheap jigsaw because someone once told me there's almost no difference in the mechanical motion of them - "If the blade goes up and down it's a fine jigsaw." So I spent my money on good blades instead. I accidentally cut through the cord of that cheap jigsaw and didn't want to bother with replacing the cord. from 18 volt cordless to a Bentley

Just bought it for use on a project that requires precision which the cordless 18 volt did not have, I have to cut 3/4 inch finish grade plywood so I cant afford any mistakes. The Manager in the tool department gave me the excellent advice on this machine and glad he did. Now all I have to do is start buying my supplies for my race track poker table..

Wonderful tool

It was either Bosch or Dewalt and after watching YOUTUBE videos and reading lots of reviews I chose this Bosch jigsaw and so glad I did. Get Bosch blades to go with it! You will be happy with this product.
