Great saw

I have read some reviews on this saw that said the blade release mechanism can get jammed. Bosch includes special instructions on how to release it in this case, so I don't consider this an issue. The saw is fast and smooth, and easy to hold. I've had no problem cutting with it. It blows more dust around than my previous jigsaw, but this is because it purposefully blows dust out of the way as you cut, so that you can see lines.

I like the quality of this saw. It's much more durable than my last one, which burnt out from a lot of use. Blade change is very easy too. I do miss having a light on the blade area to show my cutting line a little better.

PURCHASED AS A GIFT

I purchased primarily because I've had my bosch jigsaw for more than 10 years and never had a moments grief with this product. I've used it in remodels and and extensively in diy projects.

Just What I Wanted

Several weeks ago, I bought my first ever Bosch product. I was looking for a combination of good quality and a fair price. I found it in this 6-Amp Keyless T-Shank Variable Speed Corded Jigsaw. It does everything well and is very easy to change blades. Anyone who can't figure that out probably shouldn't be using power tools. Bill

I purchased this tool after burning out 3 competitors jigsaws in as many years. Not worth a penny

I recieved this jigsaw (JS260) as a gift. Tried to use it for the first time and after 30 min. of trying to get a blade in it, I did some research and found that it does not take Bosch U-shank blades. Ok. My old jigsaw finally died. I have been shopping - looking for a sale. I have always heard good things about Bosch. When I saw 6 amps for under $80, I bought one and went home to complete a project, cutting curved ends on pergola cross beams. I almost had to pull back to slow the thing down. It went through 2x8 treated lumber like butter, and the cuts were clean. I am looking for more jigsaw projects just to use this thing.

I purchased this in the store about a month ago, on sale. Nice saw so far. Low vibration and easy to hold and control. Great Jigsaw

I have already recommended this jigsaw to my friends. This is a quality tool at a price the average handyman can afford. I appreciate its low vibration, smooth operation and jor a jigsaw quiet motor. You could save a few dollars and purchase a Black and Decker or Skill, but after having grown up using those products I can truly say its worth the nominal cost to upgrade to this Bosch I would rate myself as having a intermediate skill level as I actively work with wood, but dont do it as a full ...
