Easy to Use

Was looking for a replacement jigsaw that burned out last year and am very pleased with this Bosch jigsaw. Blade changes are a snap and it cuts as expected...no surprises. Have a Bosch tablesaw and dishwasher...outstanding products!

A very good jigsaw

I needed a good jigsaw to notch 1x and 2x boards for a deck. My old one just wasn't up to it. I found this on sale and it is doing the job very nicely. The variable orbit feature is great. The variable speed is probably standard these days (not on my old one), but makes it easy to use. The tool-free blade attachment is probably the nicest feature, but I sometimes have a little trouble inserting a blade.

Smooth Tool

I am sold on the quality and performance on this and all of my Bosch power tools. 

Blade securing system the best.

Bought this product because my old jigsaw blade securing screw was stripped and it would not keep the blade stable. Really like the blade changing and securing and the overall balance of the tool when in use. Blade guide gives the tool a solid feel when cutting thick material. Tool has ample power and I am really pleased with the quality for the price.

Good, That Could be Great

Being Bosch, it has excellent craftsmanship in manufacture. This jigsaw also operates buttery smooth, and has plenty of power. There are areas for improvement that would make it great. The scale underneath for adjusting the base for bevel cuts is nearly invisible; you cannot see the cut you're making unless you lean down to the side of the saw to look underneath it while operating; and the base doesn't accommodate a guide fence. Best saw in this price range

Had this one about 3 years, it is by far the best jig saw I have ever used and I've used a bunch! Cuts 5/4 red oak no problem.

I purchase my 18V Drill a year ago it was the best investment I have ever made. I do not use my 115VAC Drill occasional

Bosch 6 Amp Jigsaw

Solidly built saw, you can feel the quality in the hefty weight of the saw. Cuts through the hardest wood like butter, and doesn't bind when making sharp cuts in the stock.

Awesome cutting

This product cust like butter... almost better than a circular saw... Tight corners and everything... Cut out a nativity scene and had fingures to cut out and it worked great... I would certainly by this again...

Quick release with bloody fingers

Had to return because the blade lock mechanism is so finicky. Everything else was great.

Great tool

This tool did everything expected and more. It is very easy to operate, provides a great cut, and the anti-splinter insert is a great plus.

I was eagerly looking forward to using my new Jig Saw for the first time when I went out to my Garage an realized that thieves had broken into my garage and stolen about $1,250.00 worth of my power tools, including my new Jig saw. I will have to purchase another one soon so I can try it out. I will find a safer place to store it next time.

Great saw with very low vibration

I just cut a kitchen sink hole in a 2 inch thick pick of wood and it cut smooth and with little effort. There is a small wheel "guide" that holds the blade in place which apparently helps reduce vibrations to the point of being of no concern. Easy to round corners and/or go straight. Bosch make high quality items. I have several of their tools and have never had an issue with quality. Cheers to all.

easy to use

I bought this product 3 weeks ago and I love it. It handles very well and i love the ease which the motor revs up and slows down. a great tool at a great price!!!

Excellent tool. Great value for money.

I bought this tool for doing small projects at home. It is very handy and useful. The only issue I have is some splintering of wood when I cut it. 

The Bosch js260 is perfectly designed...

to throw every bit of saw dust from the cut line into the eyes of the left handed carpenter. The saw itself is good. The blade change is an improvement. My last Bosch "d" handle jigsaw lasted me a decade of daily use, and worked well enough to inspire brand loyalty. I wish that as a lefty I was able to use this one. P.S. this is the first review I've ever written.

dissapointing

Bought this jigsaw 2 years ago but have only used it maybe a dozen times. The keyless chuck quit working and now the saw is out of warranty and garbage. Threw it in the garbage and went and bought a DeWalt. The easy chuck blade system in this saw needs some serious improvement. Dont waste your money

Great Saw

This is the 1st quality jig saw I've owned.  I did a lot of research and coupled with the experience I've had with other Bosch tools I knew I couldn't go wrong.

very nice saw

i have only used it once and i can get better cuts frome this that my circular saw but it is cut slower of course!
