This tool performed very well.

Blade type required should be more prominently displayed on box so that people like me will buy the correct blades the first time;; otherwise, I am very happy with my purchase.

Great saw!

I got this for Christmas after having done A LOT of research and comparing. I've used numerous big brand jig saws but they don't compare to the Bosch quality. A very smooth and detailed cut. Very easy to hold, handle and control. I would recommend this saw to anyone who is looking for a quality saw for a good price.

easy to handle with various cutting surfaces. Switching blades was very easy.

blade release

Worked great until the blade lock and release quite working after 3 projects. So with that being said don't waste your money on this horrible design. Learn from my mistake.

Great jigsaw

My wife brought me a Bosch jig saw as a gift. I was really impressed by how well it handled and how well it cut the wood. I used it to cut plywood, plywood siding and 2 x 4’s. It didn’t have any trouble going through it there was plenty of power and easy to use. The more you pull the trigger to more power you have. No comparison to my old saw. I won’t look or buy anything else besides a Bosch because I’ve been so impressed with their products. And they all come with a nice carrying case. :) I wo...

Smooth operator

Love tool as a smooth working and very controllable tool. Excellent design with quick change blade lock feature. Expect to get years of service life. To me, a best buy!

This is an amazing jigsaw

Th so saw will keep you always confident when using I cut circle with the saw I was once in a certain situation where my band saw just wouldn't turn on so what I did was I got the bosch metal cutting blades and cut the metal with that it got the job done so now I can put food on my family's plate thank you bosh

Poor design in blade lock.

I have used my jigsaw once. The release ring split and does not hold a blade. I believe this is a design flaw. I requested assistance and they directed me to a tool repair store. I didn't even get a phone call from a service representative.

Taking it Back!!!

I didn’t realize it was T-Shank blades only. Poor product labeling. I see no reason to abandon U-Shanks which have been around forever, and make a product that only accepts T-Shanks, when other manufacturers make saws that will accommodate either. Except that Bosch blades are the only one’s that Lowes sells.

Great jig saw to use around the house

I purchased this jig saw few days ago do cut laminate flooring and it was working better than big table saw. Very smooth and strong tool. I used T-shank blades for laminate and the cuts very clean with no chips. I have couple other Bosch tools and I am extremely satisfied with them.

After limited use....

After limited use, the Bosch JS260 Jigsaw release ring split and will no longer hold the blade in. I was under the impression that Bosch made quality tools but this part appears to be easily broken rendering the saw unusable. The saw was perhaps used a dozen times.

Great power tool with great features

I bought this tool to replace one similar that I had just bought and would not do the job. This tool was a great help in building a machine shed for my 4 year old grandson. The tool was a good value for the price and had a feature that I have never seen on a sabre saw.

Poor design of "tool less" blade insert

I've owned my JS260 for a short time and it is already broken. The blade won't stay inserted. Very poor design.

Great tool to have

Never had one of these, don't know what i was doing before i had this. Highly recommend this tool. Looking for projects around the house so i can use it some more. So far, i used this to make a doggie door, came in handy and was so easy to use.

Bosch jig saw 6amp

I use this saw daily for work and I have to cut metal. This saw is stronger because most saws I've used are 5.5 amp this one is 6amp. It works smoother, quieter and faster. All in all I bought it for 79.99 plus tax and I'm extremely happy with its performance . Also, I use the Bosch progresser metal blades I can get more cutting time out of the blades because of the Bosch locking mechanism . Thanks Bosch Andre Lorenz

Great product

My old jigsaw finally died so i was in need of a replacement. The jigsaw i was looking to buy was out of stock. The store Employee showed me this one and it was in the price range i wanted but the employee gave it to me st the price of the one i wanted. The saw is a great buy. The overall performance is more Than i expected . Cuts great and the blower keeps my cut marks visible. The varible speed helps alot. If your in need of A great jigsaw get this one.

Excellant features

I manage a Model Shop for the School of Architecture at the University of Florida. It can be very hectic and the students are extremely hard on equipment. As I transition hand tools over to Bosch, I have found them to be among, if not the best. The students have put this jig saw through its paces and it is still going strong and maintains its accuracy. Miter saw and drills are on the way.

Needs it's own brand blades. Doesn't use universal blades.
