Great Power

Great power for general yard work ... like corded weedeaters, don't have to worry with batteries ... also tried on thicker weeds & it worked fabulous ... would buy again

Hmmm....

I believe the trimmer shipped with a bad line spool. The end of the line was not placed in the provided notch. The line broke several times while using. The spool is hard to release. I had to use a screw driver to depress the notches on the spool cover. The handle is a bit short for users over 6' tall.

Would recommend but with a warning

The line breaks off way to often and must be bounced on the ground to send out new line every few seconds....but it still works.

Surprised at how much I liked it

I bought this yesterday and went home and put it to work. I'm an out of shape older woman and I've tried battery trimmers before and always had trouble so I went with the corded version this time. The electrical cord is a little annoying but makes the trimmer lighter and easier on my back. I was able to continue until I ran out of string so I do recommend buying a couple extra (RS-136). If a $31 version is this great I can't imagine the wonder of the over $200 versions.

Great Little Trimmer

If you don't want the additional expense of a battery or 2-stroke engine powered trimmer, this is the one for you.

An all-around great buy

Note that having purchased this trimmer/edger at the tail-end of the "high use" season, I've only used it three times. So, my review .... albeit overwhelmingly positive, is based on limited use.

Easy use

The product was very easy to use. It was lightweight and easy to assemble. The string cartridge included did not last as long as I thought, but it was easy to change out.

Im a new home owner and as most of you know, its expensive. So i purchased this to kinda get started on lawn equipment and have something to do my lawn. The line it comes with is the worst. Breaks immediately. Touches one blde of grass and then breaks. And the way the line is fed through its hard to control how much line you want to use. It just comes out. Maybe im using it incorrectly as i am a novice to yard work but even after reading instructions its just not working still. Not impressed. S...

Very good trimmer, poor edger

Great price. I use mine only as a trimmer, purchased it back in May, still using the original trimming cord, very good trimmer. Poor edger -- finished work does not look appealing, uses too much cord, will purchase an edger that utilizes a metal cutting mechanism in the near future.

Efficient and inexpensive weed trimmer

I like it. It’s lightweight and string auto dispenses with no hassle. My last one worked for 5 years; hoping for the same out of this one.

Waste of Money

I bought this on Saturday and tried it out yesterday -- worked for all of about 10 minutes and discovered the line would not feed. The line spool would not go back in despite repeated efforts. Will be returning this product today for a different model or another brand. My last B & D product lasted 5 years but this model not worth purchasing.

Reliable Trimmer/Edger

This is the second of this model I have bought over the years. It is one of the few that has the manual bump and feed system, which uses a lot less trimmer line than the automatic feed units. It is small and light weight and very easy to handle.
