Excellent trimmer/edger

I bought this exact product about 7--8 years ago and loved it. It finally died. Pleased it lasted that long. As a woman, I like the fact that it is light weight and I can easily switch it from edging to trimming. It does a great job. So thrilled that the same product was available for me to purchase again!

Simple. Durable. Perfect for suburbs

This is my second one in 8 years. I have a 1/3 acre lot and this is perfect. I have 3 chargers and several batteries to ensure I never run out of power.

Be advised plastic components are very fragile

I’d love to write how great it cuts, lightweight, and adjustable, with good battery life but having had one which I previously purchased 8 years ago break and recently replacing it to have it break in the same place is super disappointing. The plastic mechanisms that control the line spool broke and is nonfunctional after just a few uses. No way to replace, again really disappointing.

Good buy, just don’t compare it to the gas powere.

Exactly what I expected, not like the gas powered one, but does around the flower beds. Light weight and easy to use.

Awesome product.

It is a replacement of the exact same one and I loved that one, especially the button to get more string out while in progress of cutting weeds.

Spend more money and get a decent trimmer

So many things I hate about this: 1 - The head does not rotate so you have to flip it over to edge. Very awkward with the trigger and safety button (I pinch my finger EVREY time). 2 - Some engineer decided adding a wheel would be good. It is not. It is in the way and serves little purpose. It does come off. 3 - They added an "Easy Feed" button instead of the head bouncing that every other trimmer uses just fine. As you might guess 'Easy' means it does not work well at all. 4 - It is too shor...

Automatic string feed does not work. Do not buy. What a waste. Worked for 5 minutes, then string too short and bent to do anything.

support /parts suck

I'll never buy black & decker junk again. Can't get parts for their best selling weed trimer only the easy to change things for idiots and kids

A great quality product!

This has been the best trimmer/edger yet. It did take us a couple times to get used to using, but now we love it! Great quality and stood up to a full day of trimming and edging our large yard. We did purchase a second battery and recommend that if you do have a large yard. My husband doesn’t use out edger since this one does a better job.

Getting Another One

After 8 years of use the one I have is starting to act up. I use it a lot as I have an 250' driveway and many shrugs. I'm buying another one. I like the options and I really like the wheel; it makes a great guide.

It won't cut the really thick, knee-high weeds like my heavy duty gas-burner, but my expectation of a lightweight, cordless trimmer were reasonable, and I was pleasantly surprised! This is a charm

Look! battery life has nothing to do with the trimmer and it is an issue across the whole industry due to greed. Like ink jet printers, they are dirt cheap but manufactures strain your budget through the price of ink cartridges. 1.5AH or 2.AH batteries deliver what they are designed for. If you need more power and longer use of the battery then upgrade the battery to at least 4Ah. Based on my experience using a battery with higher amperage can still be used with this trimmer. Great value

This was a replacement of basically the same unit that I have had for four plus years. That one is still working but no longer feeds the line. This one is supposed to have an improved line feeder. So far, so good and I think a great value compared to alternatives.

Not worth it

Lasted 3 yearsa nd used around 25 times. Motor runs but spindle does not spin. Better off buying a better made, more expensive trimmer.
