Ratings & Reviews for Backyard Discovery Belmont Residential Wood Playset

Overall a good purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Even after predrilled hole, a couple pieces of wood split. Those pieces were shored up with a block of wood. Overall, im very happy with the product/price point and would recommend to others.

Outstanding swing set not to hard to put together

I have no complaints about this set . I have only had it setup up for about 3 months now we will see how it holds up in the Florida sun .I would say it should. Use the app to put it together it will take 2 people for sure. My kids love it .I will And have recommended this .

good for younger children

my wife and I built this for our 4 going on 5 year old grandson. All parts were in the kit and in good shape unlike other kits I have built. I found errors in both the on line video and the printed version. so use both, not just one. the video gives the order of assembly where the print version just let's you guess. order in many places is important. note that neither points out Orientation well, to it is easy to get it wrong. I had to drill holes because of non obvious orientation. I dri...

Be vigilant and make sure nothing arrives broken

We kept waiting for one box that had been returned twice due to being broken. We decided to return the play set due to concerns of safety

I thought the quality would be a little better for the price. Many pieces came cracked or cracked with very little pressure. Make sure to pre drill anywhere the holes aren’t already through. It is pretty simple to build. I did it by myself in a couple days. The problem was waiting for the wood replacements. I’m hoping this will last at least a few years. If I end up buying another one I will get a different brand.

Satisfied

Got this for my grandsons (2 1/2 & 5). They love it and worth every penny to see the smiles on their faces. I think it said it would take seven hours to assemble and it took nearly that long, so plan accordingly. It was a little smaller than I’d imagine but works fine for for their size, however I wouldn’t recommend if your kids are older than 8 or 9. Delivered by UPS in three boxes, two small ones and one slightly larger. None of them very heavy which initially made me think that I hadn’t recei...

Materials are cheap

Many pieces of wood came cracked and needed to be replaced. Does not seem very strong.

Good investment for what we paid

Good directions & all the parts were there and in good condition

Not happy with quality of wood

Lot of the wood split and it does not seem sturdy wood to thin

terrible

poor quality. Set it up and in 1 week, wood is already chipping, bent and breaking. My two toddlers (1 and 3) both go on it and it sounds and feels very unsafe.

Kids love it!

A backyard playset has long been discussed in our household, and we eventually settled on the Belmont Swing Set. Small enough to be assembled by two tired parents and the perfect size for our little ones. Rather than level out an area of our backyard, as it slopes, we decided to use leveling blocks. With everything anchored to the ground it's been holding up great. Had some minor issues with wood splitting, but nothing that required any replacement pieces. I used the associated app to guide me t...

AMAZING value! Would 100 percent buy from again

We bought this for our girls for Christmas and I cannot believe how amazing this is for the money. It was very easy to put together, took about 10 hours total with a friends help…it’s very sturdy and haven’t had any issues with the girls and a bunch of their friends playing on it together. I would 100 percent buy from backyard discovery again in a heartbeat.

My granbabys very much love this product.

Absolutely wonderful product my granbabys love this. The installation took two men to install. In about eight hours it was complete all the parts were there. I am very happy and my granddaughters will have years of fun on it. Thank you very much quality product. Robby Spencer.

Inferior Wood Playset for Preschool Children Only

Wow are we disappointed with this product! The wood is cheap and needs treated. The playset looks miniature and in my opinion is not suitable for children over age 7 or 8. Our 6 year old will out grow in no time. The location of the holes for the swings are too close together. The wood split in several locations upon assembly. We have had this only about 2 weeks and are so disappointed. Would love to return but the hassle of taking this apart is not worth the effort. Would not recommend. NOT wo...

Make sure to organized the parts before installing

We love this playset for our 2 year old granddaughter this week. It's the perfect size.

Prepare to take a while to assemble this kit.

We did like the instructions. The drawings are very detailed. We had some hardware pieces left over that we did not need, but then there were others that had the exact number of pieces. I wish there were extra pieces with the ones I ruined with a Phillips drill bit.
