There was a small recess in the deck to insert a screwdriver or similar item to stop the blade from turning while you unscrewed the bolt holding it on the mower. That wasn’t working because as soon as I tried using the wrench, the screwdriver would fall out and there was nothing to hold the blade from turning. Would RecommendWith this tool, I was able to remove the old blade from the mower and install the new one. Basically I saved $75 in about 10 minutes. And this tool can last for decades. You can use it to replace 10s of blades and save hundreds. Highly recommending to everyone.
